Love Island winner Toni Laites revealed she is homeless on Instagram on Monday – two months after she and boyfriend Cach Mercer bagged the £50k prize fund.
Toni, 24, who has relocated from America to the UK, claimed she has no choice but to stay in Airbnb’s at the moment due to unreliable landlords and branded herself homeless as a result.
Toni ranted: ‘You guys keep asking me “why don’t you just get an apartment?, why don’t you just get an apartment? Why are you staying in Airbnb’s? Isn’t that expensive?”
She continued: ‘And I went to go see an apartment today and the landlord didn’t show up and there’s someone inside from Booking.com so… the homelessness continues.’
Alongside the clip, the star also captioned the post: ‘Pls excuse my appearance… homeless person with clout is the new aesthetic (star emoji).’
Toni’s Instagram post comes after the Daily Mail reported last month that she has ‘already been lined up for spin-off show after wowing ITV bosses’.

She struck up a romance with Cach, who is from East London, and it seems they are set on making their relationship work, as Toni confirmed last month that she plans to stay in the UK and hopes to ‘find somewhere to live’.
Last month, the pair revealed what they planned to spend their £50,000 cash prize on – and it’s far from what you would expect.
When asked how she plans to spend the money, Toni candidly admitted: ‘I need to pay off my student loans.
She continued: ‘I want to invest it. I don’t want to go on some crazy shopping spree.’
While Cach, a dancer from London, agreed with her, adding: ‘Cost of living crisis, I’ll save it!’
Love Island is available to stream on ITVX.
