Love Island star Nas Majeed has broken his silence after it was announced on Monday that he has split from his girlfriend Eva Zapico after four years together.
The couple met on the first edition of Winter Love Island in 2020 and after a slow start to becoming official – only making each other boyfriend and girlfriend six months after leaving the show – they went from strength to strength, even sparking engagement rumours last summer.
Yet now the pair have parted ways, with Nas taking to Instagram on Monday evening to issue a statement as he revealed it was a ‘mutual and completely amicable decision’.
He wrote: ‘Unfortunately, Eva and I have decided to end out relationship. There is no bad blood or wrong doing – it was a mutual and completely amicable decision.’
Nas revealed the pair had been trying to work through their problems for the last few months, but have now decided to officially call time on their relationship.

He continued: ‘We tried to work things out over the past couple months but decided that this was for the best, and are both at peace with the situation.
‘I am grateful to Eva and her family for the past 4 years and will cherish those memories, and wish her all the best going forward.
‘Thank you for all your continued love and support, I really do appreciate it’.
The pair hinted at a split last month after they deleted pictures of each other from their Instagram and she didn’t wish him a happy birthday.

In June, the couple sparked engagement rumours when Nas shared a sweet snap cosying up to Eva.
In the image, the recruitment consultant draped an arm around her boyfriend and flashed what appeared to be a ring on her engagement finger and although the images transpired to be camera trickery, fans were soon sent into a frenzy.
Nas’ excited followers took to the comments section to speculate, with fans writing: ‘I spy an engagement ring?? Xx… Are they engaged?’

While the ring looked to be on Eva’s left hand, a closer look revealed that due to being in selfie mode, the image had been flipped at her right hand was actually on display in the misleading image.
The couple were kicked out of the Love Island villa ahead of the final after he dumped eventual runner-up Demi Jones in favour of Casa Amor bombshell Eva.
Ahead of his exit, Nas apologised to Demi for ditching her in favour of Eva, shortly before she embarked on a romance with Luke Mabbott and finished in third place behind Luke Trotman and Siannise Fudge and Paige Turley and Finley Tapp.
The Londoner shared at the time: ‘I know it’s obviously tricky the way things panned out, but I genuinely wish you all the best and I do apologise for probably the way I have gone about it.’
Responding to his apology, style adviser Demi said: ‘Obviously, I was upset with what happened, but everything happens for a reason.’
Eva and Nas then shared they had met each other’s parents just weeks after leaving the series.
Speaking to BBC Radio 1’s The Reality Tea podcast in March 2021, Nas said: ‘We’re exclusively dating. She’s met my parents… She met my family and the first thing she said was: “Oh, hello, auntie.”
‘And obviously, to us, to me that was a massive, a massive thing. My family said: “She’s so respectful. she’s so lovely.”‘
