Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu’s autobiography has bombed and is currently ranked a lowly 221,755 in Amazon’s book charts.
The reality star, 30, released the memoir, titled Be Your Own Best Friend, in August with a blaze of publicity.
But the book has failed to capture the public’s imagination and industry sources have told MailOnline the memoir may have sold under 500 copies.
Major book firm Waterstones allegedly turned down the opportunity to stock the title in stores and Ekin-Su also struggled to attract fans to book signings, according to a separate source.
MailOnline revealed this month Ekin-Su is in talks to sign up for Love Island: All Stars in a bid to rejuvenate her career which has stagnated since her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother last March.
But her place on the show could be under threat after we revealed Ekin-Su’s secret romance with former Married At First Sight UK star Georges Berthonneau, 31, which she’s been trying to keep underwraps in a bid to remain ‘publicly single’ to secure her place on the ITV2 spin-off.
A source said: ‘The numbers are embarrassingly low for Ekin-Su.
‘Releasing a book is always a risk, especially as her followers are very young and are unlikely to be into celebrity memoirs. But she cannot ignore the numbers, it’s been a disaster.’

Another publishing insider added: ‘Ekin-Su has barely shifted any books, it’s unlikely she’s made it past the 500 physical copies mark.
‘Her book signings have been an early indication the public weren’t into it, as she struggled to attract numbers.’
Ekin’s book was released at the end of August, with the former Dancing On Ice star explaining Be Your Own Best Friend gave her the chance to show her vulnerable side.
She said: ‘In this book, I want to take you on the rollercoaster of my life throughout all the highs and lows and the lessons I have learned along the way.
‘Opening up scares me and to be honest I am afraid of being misunderstood or hurt. But now feels like the right time to be vulnerable and to show you the girl behind the newspaper stories, the reality TV shows and the filtered Instagram pictures.’
She added: ‘I am still a work in progress and writing this book has been like therapy for me. I’ve been the most honest and open I have ever been.
‘There were times when I thought I might have been too open but it’s all part of the healing process and I’m finally ready to tell my story.’
She penned the text following her split from Love Island co-star Davide Sanclimenti, who left her heartbroken when he was unfaithful on multiple occasions.
MailOnline has approached Ekin’s representative for comment.

The couple’s 18-month relationship ended in January with Ekin saying she was often left ‘in tears’ after being inundated with messages about Davide’s untrustworthy behaviour.
She said learning of Davide’s infidelities was like a ‘knife’ through her heart and appearing on Celebrity Big Brother soon after their split manifested in ‘bitterness’ and ‘insecurity.’
Ekin has recently moved on by dating Married At First Sight UK star Georges, who she was pictured with last week.
MailOnline revealed the couple have been dating in secret for months and Ekin had spent time with Georges at his family’s holiday home this summer in the South of France.
Georges found fame when he married ex-wife Peggy Lawrence on the E4 series last year – but their relationship ended on Valentine’s Day.
