Love Island viewers were left fuming when final dates were scrapped and replaced with a group dinner during Monday’s Grand Finale.
The four remaining couples all dined together on a large table in the villa’s garden before taking it in turns to declare their love for one another.
Previous years have seen couples enjoy romantic clifftop dinners and boat trips, however this year it was all change.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, fans were convinced bosses had wasted the budget on dumped star Joey Essex – despite him being paid the same £375 weekly fee as the other singeltons.
