Love Island Eliminates Two Contestants Before Finale

ITV’s Love Island has been jam-packed with twists, turns and bombshells.

But Sunday’s episode saw one of the show’s biggest and most savage twists yet as two islanders, Lola Deluca and Harry Baker, were dumped from the villa.

During the latest episode, Islanders were called to get their glam on for the show’s Grafties.

But as everyone took their seats in anticipation to see who the public had been voting for each of the six different categories, they found out that viewers had also been asked to vote for their least favourite couple.

And it was soon revealed that Lola 22, and Harry, 25, were the public’s least favourite couple in the Majorca villa and a text soon arrived to boot the pair off the show.

But the huge and unexpected turn in events sent fans into shock as they dubbed the move as ‘savage’ and ‘brutal’.

Flocking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one user penned: ‘The way Lola & Harry were dumped was savage! Couldn’t they have waited until after the Grafties?!’

After being ‘brutally’ dumped with Lola, Harry admitted that he only ‘only ever really had eyes for Grace’.

Speaking after his exit, Harry said: ‘It feels fresh as I wasn’t there for a long time! As soon as I entered the Villa I only ever really had eyes for Grace as she’s my type on paper which is why I pulled her for a chat. I felt that it was flirty between us but things can quickly change, after a while we both realised it was just a friend thing.’

He added: ‘I didn’t want to waste my time so I went for Grace, it just felt natural. It’s only when you go in there that you experience everyone’s personalities and you can see how compatible people are so I’d never want to get in the way of that.’

Lola, meanwhile, was interested in both Reuben and Joey but those connections were not made despite Joey Essex, 33, telling her she was ‘trouble’ and was ‘open’.

She confessed about the possibility of a romance with Harry now they’re out: ‘I was attracted to Rueben and based on the conversations we had we got on really well, but as the days went on we realised it was more on a friendship level.

‘Harry is my usual type, I feel like we will continue to get to know one another but we will see what happens so watch this space. It was Rueben and Joey from the offset and I’m happy I got some time to explore a connection with Harry.’

When Lola was asked to steal a man from one of the couples fans expressed their disappointment as they claimed she played it ‘safe’ picking Reuben Collins to steal over Joey.

However, to fans’ disappointment, Lola chose to play it ‘safe’ by stealing Reuben instead of Joey, even after the pair shared flirty chats throughout the day.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, fans confessed they ‘didn’t see that coming’ and claimed Lola only chose Reuben to be on the ‘safe side’.

The disappointing coupling up came after Jessy Potts, 25, broke down in tears as she convinced herself she was going to be dumped as part of the latest brutal twist on the show.

Wednesday night’s episode saw Lola and Harry having to steal someone to couple up with.

And Jessy was sure that Joey would be stolen from her after his and Lola’s flirty chats that day.

However after Harry stole Grace from Reuben, viewers didn’t get to see who Lola picked as the episode ended on an ‘infuriating’ cliffhanger.

As the Islanders were told to gather around the fire pit and wait for Lola’s choice, Jessy said to Joey: ‘I’m going to be dumped, I’m going to be going home.’

Joey attempted to reassure her as he said: ‘No you won’t’, before Jessy replied that he hadn’t quite had enough time to shut things down with her.

Jessy was visibly emotional as she said: ‘I think it’s too late!’

Viewers were fuming that they didn’t get to see Lola’s choice as they penned on Twitter: ‘When I said don’t dump Jessy and Lolly in the same ep I didn’t mean leave it on a cliffhanger like this #Loveisland.’,
