Love Island: All Stars’ Gabby Allen and Casey O’Gorman’s shock victory costs bookmakers thousands after long-time frontrunners Luca Bish and Grace Jackson were ‘sabotaged’

Love Island: All Stars viewers were left in shock on Monday night when Gabby Allen and Casey O’Gorman were announced as the winners of season two.

The couple had flown under the radar in the leadup to the finale, with bookmakers never placing them as favourites to clinch the £50,000 prize.

Nonetheless, they managed to storm to victory during the live final – pipping longtime frontrunners Luca Bish and Grace Jackson to the post while Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Curtis Pritchard finished in third.

Some even questioned if the result was rigged, with Gabby, 33, and Casey, 28, having been devoid of public sentiment online – SlotsCalendar’s data revealed that only six percent of tweets about the couple since they paired up had been positive.

While social media users were baffled at the result, it has resulted in bookmakers paying out thousands, because of a third of the stakes were placed on the underdogs.

William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps told MailOnline: ‘Gabby and Casey’s Love Island All Stars victory last night may have appeared a shock on paper, but the result ended up being a big loser for us, with the couple accounting for over a third (35 percent) of stakes throughout the series.’

He continued: ‘While the pair started out as an unlikely 10/1 towards the end of January, our punters appeared to have their heads turned in early February and their price dropped to as low as 4/7 at one point – the shortest odds offered at any stage of the series.

‘Gabby and Casey entered last night’s finale as 6/4 second favourites but proved to be the real bombshells of the series, stealing the crown from Luca and Grace (1/2).’

For weeks, season eight’s Luca, 25, and season 11 star Grace, 26, had been the bookies’ frontrunners to win the show – garnering a strong online fanbase.

Yet the tide turned on the couple in the crucial few days building up to the final after they were ‘sabotaged’ by former Islanders.

During Sunday night’s show, the axed stars returned to the villa to decide which couple would be dumped before the final.

Amid their deliberations, Olivia Hawkins set the cat among the pigeons as she claimed to have seen ‘secret messages’ proving Grace only after a fake relationship.

In a shock outburst, she announced: ‘So I’ve seen text messages of Grace just saying to someone that she’ll do whatever it takes to win the show this time from someone back home’.

A horrified Grace denied it immediately and pleaded with Luca: ‘Baby, that is absolutely not true. I do not care about winning this show’.

Yet tensions continued as Samie Elishi, who competed with Grace for Luca’s affections, also claimed to have seen the infamous messages.

Grace fumed: ‘On my life, I have never written that sentence in my life. It’s b******t, and someone’s forged that, that’s not true. I am gobsmacked’.

Olivia’s rival Harriet Blackmore was quick to chime in and told Grace: ‘She probably made it up babe, like she did with Ronnie.’

She added: ‘Liv’s probably texted herself and used it as an answer. Babe, we all know you wouldn’t do that.’

Following the episode, alleged screengrabs of the conversation began to circulate online but were not verified.

Back in the villa on Monday for the live final, Olivia was probed about the messages by host Maya Jama, who asked if she had the screenshots to hand.

However, the dumped Islander seemed keen to backtrack after her fiery confrontation with Grace and Luca the day before.

She said: ‘I’ve seen [the screenshots], I’ve said what I’ve said. You know me, I’m very straight to the point. I wish them the best.’

However, showing there was still no love lost between then, Grace took the opportunity to make her feelings clear in response.

She fired back: ‘I’m very straight talking too and there’s absolutely no receipts so I can’t wait to apparently see them.’

As the audience clapped and the tension built, Maya jumped in to joke: ‘Ok – you can sort it out online or something.’

Taking to X amid the debacle, fans tweeted: ‘The ex islanders sabotaged luca and grace’;

‘Dont you think it’s funny how these so called reciepts and messages were from before she went in the villa but come out the day before the final where she’s close to winning? Giving sabotage #LoveIsland’;

‘Even the devil rested! I haven’t seen people work so hard to sabotage a person like this. Grace is really special because how can a girl get people pressed and shaking in their boots 24/7 by just existing? #loveisland #LoveIslandAllStars’;

‘Trying so hard to sabotage Grace all it does is make us vote more for her. If she wanted to win so much why not help her #loveisland’.

Casey and Gabby have become the second islanders to win All Stars, taking over the crown from Casey’s best mates Tom Clare and Molly Smith, who won season one.
