Louise Thompson broke down in tears during her recent hospital stay when her fiancé Ryan Libbey surprised her with a pair of Apple headphones for her birthday.
The former Made In Chelsea star, 33, spent two weeks in hospital last month after losing ‘cups of blood’ due to Ulcerative Colitis while in Antigua on a family holiday and took to Instagram on Sunday to reveal that Ryan had surprised her with an early birthday present during the tough time.
Alongside snaps of her getting emotional wearing the tech gift, she said: ‘It’s my birthday this coming Tuesday. Aries energy in abundance.
When I was back in hospital for a short while following a few post op complications Ryan surprised me with a VERY generous early birthday present.
‘He turned up with a pair of apple over the ear headphones. I never would have bought these on my own accord. One of the (only) joys of a surprise.’

As part of the surprise, Ryan had set Tash Sultana hit Jungle to play just as he presented Louise with the gift.
The influencer ‘cried non-stop’ when her significant other put the headphones on her head and was reminded how important sound is in terms of recovery.
She said: ‘It’s honestly beautiful. I cried non stop.
‘I got so fricking emotional about it (It’s weird how emotional one gets over things in hospital… ok it’s certainly not weird to be hysterical when faced with bad news, but WOW good news makes me cry buckets too). And gestures of good will. Maybe even more. Less shock, more emotion.
‘I cried the best happy tears of my life listening to this song. Not my life, but this year. Actually sod that the reality is I cried happy tears when a medical professional wheeled in a ct scan on a screen and showed me something that looked like 2 large areas of free fluid in my abdominal cavity after being quiet for too long having said ‘he needed to show me something important’…without any hint of expression.
‘I thought they’d found something else! More problems. URGH! The mind runs wild.
‘I felt so good it reminded me how important sound is recovery.
‘I should have known anyway because I listen(ed) to that flipping bird song and weird healing beat non stop to get [down]’ (sic)

Louise recently praised her fiancé Ryan for prioritising his mental health and ‘fleeing the nest for peace and solitude.’

Following her discharge after the 12-day stint, Louise was then admitted to hospital three times in one week over extreme pains, ultrasounds and check ins.
She is now back home recovering with her partner Ryan, who has been looking after her and their son Leo, two.
Sharing an update to Instagram last month, Louise explained how Ryan has gone on holiday to Devon as he has been ‘carrying some weight on his shoulders.’
Alongside a series of photos, she wrote: ‘Ryan has fled the nest and gone on a long ‘longed for’ trip away – He’s driven to the North coast of Devon in an attempt to find peace and solitude and to try to learn how to surf.
