'I mean, back in the 90s you had a lot more privacy as in no social media. No comments,' Louise pointed out. 'I mean, now the comments section always like freaks me out. I just can't believe people say stuff.'

Asked whether she reads posts about herself online, Louise admitted: 'I try not to. Now and again it's sort of like that sort of self-harm gets the better of you. You read the first one and you think, "well, maybe there'll be a better one." I'm like no!'

'I think it's taken me a long time to get there, though. I mean, I'd say I've only really entered into that phase.'

She admitted her two sons Charlie, 21, and William, 17, who she shares with ex husband Jamie Redknapp, aren't bothered by their mum's return to the spotlight.

'I mean, they take absolutely no notice of me. I am just their mum,' she told Sunday Brunch.

'My youngest yesterday, he's in Paris with his girlfriend. [He's] 17. I rang him, like you do as a mum, and he ignored me like he does as my son.'

'And then he texts me, he was like, "Oh, can we go on holiday next week for a few days?" And I was like, "Oh, I'm just about to go on stage." [And he said] "Oh, yeah, good luck. Kiss."'

'You know, that's about as much support as I get. But no, I think secretly they're sort of proud. I think they just want me to be happy.'

Louise is now in a relationship with

Last year she gushed over her partner after her tough marriage breakdown and spoke candidly about their future plans.

She told The Sun: 'Drew's great. We're having a lovely time together. It took me a long time to get to that place and be open about anything.

'I was very guarded and scared. But I'm really enjoying having special times with someone. He's a great guy and super-kind.'

She admitted her two sons Charlie, 21, and William, 17, who she shares with ex husband Jamie Redknapp, aren't bothered by their mum's return to the spotlight

Asked if there are wedding bells on the horizon, she added: 'Oh, I'm not even thinking that far ahead. I'm not even going there.

'I just want to be proud of this, and I want to really enjoy it. I've met a really great guy, and I'm really happy. But you never know what the future holds.'

She added in the interview that her two sons really get on well with Drew, which makes life much easier.

Louise also hit back at 'toyboy' criticism due to their nine-year age gap.

She said being branded a 'cougar' is 'water off a duck's back' to her and that 'age is irrelevant' as she doesn't 'feel older than him'.
