Louis Tomlinson gave thanks to the BRIT Awards after his late bandmate and ‘brother’ Liam Payne was honoured with an emotional tribute during Saturday night’s event.
The singer, 33, praised the organisers for the ‘beautiful’ video montage and message which featured in the official programme.
Liam died aged 31 on October 16, 2024, after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
‘Thank you @BRITS. Beautiful tribute. Miss you always brother x,’ Louis shared to X.
It also marked exactly one year since Liam released his single Teardrops, which would become the last song released by him in his lifetime.

Remembering the singer during the ceremony, host Jack Whitehall said: ‘We have so many amazing memories of Liam here at the BRITs so tonight we celebrate his legacy, look back and remember the remarkable Liam Payne.’
A video montage of Liam played out, showcasing moments from his career and snippets from his life, with One Direction’s Little Things playing in the background.
A page in the event’s programme also paid tribute to Liam with a tear-jerking message and picture of the musician.
