Lizzo has a new best friend.
On Tuesday the 36-year-old singer was seen posing at the Met Gala in New York City for a selfie with 90s supermodel Linda Evangelista.
Lizzo looked stunning in a beige dress as supermodel Linda, 58, was wonderful in winter white.
The two have a common bond: they have both been horribly fat shamed over the years.
Lizzo has natural curves that she embraces and Linda had unexpected weight gain when using CoolSculpting, she has claimed.
Both have tried to support body acceptance over the years for the benefit of their fans and young adults.

In 2022, Linda claimed that she gained weight after using CoolSculpting — a popular, FDA-cleared fat-freezing procedure – from August 2015 to February 2016.
The Vogue cover girl said it left her ‘permanently deformed’ and ‘brutally disfigured.’
Evangelista filed a lawsuit in September 2021 suing CoolSculpting’s parent company, Zeltiq Aesthetics Inc., for $50 million in damages.
The star said she has been unable to work as a model due to her seven sessions of CoolSculpting.
Meanwhile, Lizzo lashed out at critics for being ‘fatbophic’ if they did not like her Met Gala look.
But soon after the singer made those comments, her Instagram followers stepped in.
Several said that they did like her gown as well as her shape, but they were not happy with her headpiece.
One said it resembled a dog cone: MikexParker wrote, ‘Lizzo ur wearing a dog cone…’
‘Im not fatphobic I just don’t like the headpiece,’ barked back The Babe Moon.
Kathryn_Wagner1 was more polite: ‘The dress is beautiful. ❤️ Not sure about the head piece?’
Kailoki got right to the point: ‘I love and support you Lizzo but we gotta jump the stylist out.’
Her fans did not like the headpiece and said it looked like a dog cone
The Grammy Award winner, 36, shared photos Monday night of her Met Gala look with a message for those who didn’t like her ‘vase dress’ by Weinsanto.
‘IF IM NOT IN UR BEST DRESSED UR FATPHOBIC,’ Lizzo captioned one photo with emojis of a tongue sticking out.
She was decked out in a sleeveless nude dress with shimmering fabric, but the top and bottom of the ensemble pulled attention.
Lizzo wore a bowl-shaped headpiece that extended several inches above her head, along with an upturned skirt, which the designer described as a ‘vase dress’ to Vanity Fair.
Featuring a ‘full body corset,’ the dress hugged Lizzo’s curves and featured a sizzling sheer panel over her chest to highlight her cleavage.
The look also featured tiny leaf designs, which made her like a scene from a gorgeous autumn day complete with falling red, orange and yellow leaves.
Conceptual sketches of the dress and a photo of the original version from Weinsanto indicate that the outfit previously had no face cut-out, though Lizzo may not have wanted to go to such a high-profile event with her face hidden.
Fans and critics of the recording artist seemed to enjoy poking fun at the unusual outfit on social media.
‘When Lizzo gets completely out of this cocoon, she’ll be a beautiful butterfly,’ joked one user on X (formerly Twitter).
‘Im not fatphobic I just don’t like the headpiece,’ barked back The Babe Moon. Kathryn Wagner1 was more polite: ‘The dress is beautiful. ❤️ Not sure about the head piece?’
Another person noted that her outfit had ‘meme potential,’ and they couldn’t ‘wait to see the results.’
The Barstool Sports account joked that ‘Dudes see this and all they can think about is crumpling up a piece of paper and shooting it at Lizzo’s dome.’
One person joked: ‘Not bring snacks to the #MetGala while Lizzo is trying to look like the brown bag the snack came in.’
One person wasn’t afraid to be blunt about the dress.
She looked fabulous once the headpiece was taken off
‘Lizzo really let someone convince her that this looked good and on theme and she looks horrific. It’s not a flattering fit, the color washes her out, she looks uncomfortable, and even her usually pretty a** face gets overtaken by the look,’ they vented. ‘This is unfortunate as f***.’
Several social media users also wondered why Lizzo was making public appearances as if nothing had happened after three of her backup dancers sued her for sexual harassment.
Lizzo has denied the women’s claims.
The Costume Institute’s spring exhibition falls on the first Monday in May every year and is held at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
This year, the exhibit is titled Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, while the dress code was The Garden of Time.
Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth served as this year’s co-chairs. Also on the committee was Vogue’s Anna Wintour.

The honorary chairs for the evening were Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew.
‘This year’s co-chairs reflect a variety of career achievements, and all have distinct style histories with the Met Gala,’ Vogue shared.
The showcase features approximately 250 items drawn from The Costume Institute’s permanent collection, with many of the pieces too fragile to ever be worn again, or even placed upright on a mannequin.
The pieces were displayed using elements such as AI, GCI and more while playing up the themes of land, sea and sky.
‘It is very much an ode to nature and the emotional poetics of fashion,’ said Andrew Bolton, the Wendy Yu Curator in Charge of The Costume Institute, of the exhibition.
‘One thing I hope this show will activate is that sensorial appreciation of fashion,’ he added.
