‘A real character and a kind soul who will be very much missed. .Can’t believe he has gone…Rest in peace dear Pete.’

The tragic news comes just two days after Lizzie wished a happy birthday to her mother Gloria Miller – who is friends with Queen Camilla and lives in swanky Sandringham in Norfolk.

Lizzie shared a picture of her youthful looking mum as she turned 91 on Tuesday.

She wrote: ‘Happy birthday to the strongest woman I know. My dear mother, Gloria.’

Gloria has a busy social calendar and Lizzie told Daily Mail her mother is a ‘chip off the old block’ and ‘likes to enjoy a tipple every day’.

Her mother is also active on the dating scene following the sad death of Lizzie’s father, Derek.

Lizzie said that when she grew up, her house was always full of interesting people such as the world famous photographer David Bailey and she even got to go shopping with her idol, Sharon Stone, who she says was ‘very nice.’

Her mother was senior manager for the fashion house Jaeger and a fashion model who was married to Derek Miller, an art director at the Saatchi advertising agency.

Derek would often feature Lizzie in his ad campaigns, leading her to get a taste of fame early on in life.

Lizzie’s upbringing was a very strict Catholic one – she was brought up by nuns – and she said her father was a ‘real disciplinarian.’

So much so, that Lizzie was forced to lie when she was growing up in order to have a boyfriend.

During a past interview on This Morning, Lizzie said; ‘[My father] didn’t really want me having a boyfriend, let alone a boyfriend to stay.

‘I remember growing up as a teenager having to be very very sneaky. Having to lie all the time.

‘I once got a boyfriend in and then my dad heard something from upstairs and I had to shove him in the airing cupboard until my dad went to work.’

‘My other boyfriend that I had. My father came home from work early and he had to jump out the bathroom window.’

Lizzie was married to Chelsea star Jason Cundy from 1994 to 2012.
