The stars of British TV are out in force at London’s O2 Arena for the National TV Awards.
The red carpet arrival is being hosted by Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks for a second year in a row.
At the awards, the best of TV will be honoured by the British public, who have been voting to recognise their favourite shows and talent.
This is a milestone year for the NTAs, which are celebrating their 30th anniversary.

The awards were established back in 1995 to give the public a voice when it came to recognising TV talent – as perviously, awards had always been dished out by industry professionals.Â
Described as a ‘celebration of the nation’s most loved stars and shows’, people have had the opportunity to vote via post, telephone, and online.Â
Ant and Dec are expected to win the TV Presenter award for the 24th year in a row.Â
But last year, on their 23rd consecutive win, they said that they ‘know one year we’re not going to win it.’Â
Competition this year is fierce and they are up against Claudia Winkleman, Gary Lineker, Alison Hammond and Stacey Solomon.Â
This is not the only award of note for Ant and Dec and I’m A Celebrity is also up for the best Reality TV award.
Once again, this category is full of fierce competition and the long-running jungle show is up against Love Island, Race Across the World and the increasingly popular The Traitors.Â
The past year has been a monumental one for TV dramas and a standout hit was Netflix’s Adolescence.Â

IndieWire praised Owen Cooper’s performance child killer Jamie Miller as ‘enraging, emotional, horrifying, and heartbreaking in equal measure’.Â
It will face other popular shows including Code of Silence, Ludwig, MobLand and Rivals in the Best Drama category.Â
The UK is well-known for its many serial dramas too and this too will be one of the fiercest competitions of the night.Â
Shows including Coronation Street and Emmerdale have been enjoying record numbers of viewers after being placed on ITVX in October.
This allowed soap fans to tune into their favourites at a time that best suited them rather than having to wait to watch them live on TV. Â
Other nominees in this category include Casualty, EastEnders and Hollyoaks.Â
Also being recognised and for the last time was Gavin & Stacey, which aired its long-awaited final episode on Christmas 2024.
It is up against Brassic, Michael McIntyre’s 25th Year Stand-Up Special and Mrs Brown’s Boys in the comedy category.Â
The awards, which are being broadcast live on ITV2, will be dished out between entertainment performances until half 10. Â
