For the perennially harassed working mum Julia in hit comedy Motherland, a leisurely stroll would be an unimaginable luxury.
But in real life, Anna Maxwell Martin can afford to be more relaxed – even if she has been inspired by Julia’s school-run style.
The actress, 46, wrapped up against the cold this week in a pink Ganni puffer jacket, black beanie and silver cross-body bag as she walked along the road with her boyfriend, former Columbia Records boss Ferdy Unger-Hamilton.
Her look almost perfectly mimicked an outfit worn by Julia in the third series of the BBC show, which involved a pink Weekend Max Mara Sesia puffer jacket and jeans.
The Bafta-winning sitcom, written by Graham Linehan and Sharon Horgan and which also stars Diane Morgan and Paul Ready, explores the trials and absurdities of middle-class motherhood.

But there was no sign of Julia’s trademark frown as mother-of-two Anna stepped out this week with Ferdy, who wore a shearling jacket by Axel Arigato and a baseball cap.
The couple, who have been dating since 2022, took their stroll in North London with Anna’s rescue terrier, Bobby.
Millionaire Ferdy, 52, has previously been in relationships with singer Dido and actress Denise Van Outen.
Anna previously dated cameraman Rich Cornelius, whom she met on the set of Sky police comedy Code 404.

She was previously married to Roger Michell, the director of Notting Hill, and they have two daughters, Maggie and Nancy.
They divorced in 2020, and Michell died the following year.
After their split, Anna told You magazine she used to worry about her face, but felt as if she had ‘grown into’ it.
‘I’m happy with it,’ she said. ‘Women don’t have to look a certain way, which has given me a lot of work and a lot of confidence.’
Anna won a Bafta for her portrayal of Esther Summerson in the BBC’s adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Bleak House, and picked up a second gong for her role in Poppy Shakespeare alongside Naomie Harris.
She also won praise as DCS Patricia Carmichael in BBC drama Line Of Duty, and for her role as an MI5 agent in last year’s Cold War drama A Spy Among Friends, about traitor Kim Philby, played by Guy Pearce.
She will next appear as nurse Delia Balmer in ITV’s real-crime drama of the same name.
