The TV BAFTA nominations were revealed in March

ahead of the ceremony on May 12, with The Crown leading the way with the most nods in total.

The Netflix hit has been nominated in major categories including Best Actor, Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress.

But critics of the royal drama have suggested it was undeserving of the nods as they claim he has ‘gone downhill’ and has become a ‘snooze fest’.

Some concluded that while the six series drama kicked off with a strong start, it isn’t as entertaining as it once was when it began in 2016.
