Lisa Wilkinson has paid tribute to her beloved husband Peter FitzSimons on Father’s Day.
The embattled television star shared a post to Instagram on Sunday in which she enjoyed a fancy lunch date with Peter, 63.
She wrote in the caption: ‘Happy Father’s Day to my favourite dad. Our absolute rock.’
The television star donned a trendy denim bucket hat for the outing, along with a white top under a black blazer.
She finished the look with a pair of cream trousers and stacks of gold accessories.
Lisa previously expressed her joy in ‘defying the people who said they wouldn’t last’ after they walked down the aisle in 1992 nine months after they first met.
‘When Pete and I met way back at Xmas in 1991, there were many – including my sweet, protective mum – who said we wouldn’t last’ she said in an Instagram post.
‘[We] are still defying those who thought we wouldn’t make it.’

Lisa made a rare red carpet appearance at the opening night of Sunset Boulevard in Sydney on Saturday.
She appeared in excellent spirits as she made a glamorous entrance at the Sydney Opera House.
The 64-year-old opted for a draped black satin blouse underneath a slightly oversized blazer.
She added a pair of chic silk trousers in a wide cut in an alluring blush shade of rose gold.

It comes after news that Lisa wants to make a return to TV screens following months of inaction and five tedious weeks spent in a courtroom, sources say.
The Channel 10 star and former darling of breakfast TV is keen to get back to delivering more ‘blockbuster interviews’ in the New Year, friends told the Weekend Australian.
Wilkinson quit The Project last November and despite remaining on the Ten payroll until the end of 2024, she hasn’t appeared on the channel for over a year.
Despite her lengthy hiatus from the network, Wilkinson has remained in the public eye through her role in a highly-publicised defamation trial.

She was embroiled in a case with Bruce Lehrmann who was suing Network 10 and Wilkinson over an interview with Brittany Higgins that was broadcast on The Project and online.
In the final five weeks of the court’s sitting year the defamation case has played out before the court. Justice Lee has reserved his decision in the matter.
Friends of Wilkinson say her court appearances have played in her favour by giving the TV star ‘a constant stream of publicity’.
‘Yes, she’s been off air for a while but I don’t think anyone will have forgotten her,’ former Seven and Nine executive Peter Meakin told the Weekend Australian.
‘I’m sure her loyal followers will remain loyal.’
Network Ten maintains they are in talks to develop ‘other projects’ with Wilkinson.
