Lisa Vanderpump discussed her competitive dynamic with fellow restauranteur Gordon Ramsey as they filmed the second season of his show Food Stars.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 63, admitted that she and the British celebrity chef, 57 — who recently made a vulgar remark about her — ‘butted heads’ at times.
‘There was a little bit of butting heads, but it was all faced with respect,’ she shared in an interview with Us Weekly on Monday.
‘I think I can’t minimize what he accomplished in his life. It is extraordinary. But it was also handling him as well and getting him to settle down and shut the f**k up sometimes.’
Season 2 of Food Stars sees Lisa and Gordon in a head-to-head competition as they create their teams of food and beverage entrepreneurs who will then compete in their Business Bootcamp for a $250,000 prize.

Vanderpump shared the pair knew each other prior to filming the show, as they are both in the restaurant business.
The star, along with her husband Ken Todd, 71, has owned over 30 restaurants and bars across the United States and England, including SUR, which serves as the main setting for her reality show Vanderpump Rules.
Gordon also owns and operates a vast restaurant empire, which includes Hell’s Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay Burger, Bread Street Kitchen and more.
‘When he first asked me to do it, we had a kind of playful relationship, albeit competitive because we had restaurants opposite each other, restaurants next to each other,’ she said.
‘In fact, we’re opening a restaurant each in the Flamingo now, so, you know, off we go again.’
Lisa said she wondered how Gordon, who is known for his strong leadership style, would acclimate to there being two bosses on his show.
‘I just also thought it was very interesting on many different levels because it was going to be about the emotional component between the contestants, the business strategy, the challenges, survival of the fittest, the iconic places that we were gonna go.’
‘And ultimately how Gordon and I would handle each other… and he is used to kind of being autonomous and being the boss of everything he does, and suddenly there are two bosses in the picture.’

Lisa said her competitive side was ignited when she noticed Gordon’s desire to win.
‘I saw how important it was to him for him to win, the more important it was for me to beat him,’ she shared.
However, Lisa also noted that the viewers will also see a more ‘more sensitive side’ of Gordon on the show.
‘When I saw that, I was like, “Whoa,” because normally it’s like, “Hey, come on.”… and I saw him moved a couple of times where I thought, “Oh my God, you big softie.”‘

It comes after Gordon made a vulgar remark about Lisa on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen earlier this month.
Host Andy left Gordon and Lisa completely red-face after making a foul-mouthed joke about the pair ‘hooking up’.
To Gordon’s disgust, he quickly hit back at the host while rudely digging at Lisa’s age unexpectedly.
Andy asked: ‘Are you married Gordan? You don’t wear a ring?’
Gordon, who is married to wife Tana, 49, said: ‘Yes. No [I don’t wear a ring] because I lost it once in a ball of pasta from kneading.’
It comes after Gordon made a vulgar remark about Lisa on Watch What Happens Live, saying he ‘never f***** a sixty-year-old’ after host Andy Cohen said they have great chemistry
Andy said: ‘Because I was going to say, no offence to Ken [Todd] but the chemistry between the two of you is great. I think you two might hook up tonight.’
Taken aback, Gordon said: ‘Oh Jesus Christ. I’ve never f***** a sixty-year-old.’
In stitches of laughter, Lisa, who is married to husband Ken, responded: ‘Nor have I!’
Viewers were left in total shock following the outrageous scenes, while others were in gags of laughter over Lisa’s savage response.
