Summer House’s Lindsay Hubbard discussed the complex aftermath of her cancelled wedding to Carl Radke, and how much money she lost in the process.
The reality star, 37, shared about the bills the former pair still had to pay after Carl, 39, called off their wedding last year, and how they dealt with lawyers over the money, as she appeared on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast on Tuesday.
Lindsay stated that she specified to their wedding planners that it was Carl’s job to take care of cancelling the event.
‘I texted my wedding planner and the two wedding planners — like, one who was dealing with the hotel and reservations and one who was dealing with all the vendors and actual planning — and I said, please do not communicate with me about any of this,’ she said.
‘I told them that I was absolutely not figuring out the fallout of the wedding. Like, you canceled this, put on your big boy pants and figure it out yourself.’

She told her planners: ‘You can communicate with Carl since this was his decision. And whatever he did, that’s on him.’
Lindsay said she lost about ‘$25,000 to $30,000 in wedding deposits before the cancellation.’
‘Now, he had to pay a lot of cancellation fees, especially since he waited so long to call off the wedding. And, you know, the longer you wait with the hotel and the rooms, like, the less money you get back if you cancel the wedding,’ she added.
The star shared that once the ceremony is 90 days out ‘you’re responsible for 50 percent of the rooms.’
She was then asked if she wanted Carl to pay her back the money she lost, to which she replied, ‘Yeah, we dealt with a lot of… There was a lot of lawyer discussions.’
Thursday night’s explosive Summer House season eight finale unveiled how the pair’s engagement came to an end last year.
The two reality stars intended to tie the knot in November 2023 before Radke called off the wedding in late August.
Fans were able to watch it all unfold during the former couple’s breakup conversation on the latest episode of the series.
Lindsay started the exchange by stating, ‘I do not want to fight with you. It’s not productive, it’s not helping either of us. Today I was like, “Oh, maybe Carl sees me asking questions as me belittling you or thinking you’re not capable.” And then I was like, “But where did this come from?””
But following a summer ripe with friction, Carl confessed his wish to nix their wedding plans.
He cited Lindsay’s ongoing discouragement as she shot down his various career goals, like acting and opening a sober bar.

‘I have asked for you to be a little more comforting and excited and positive, versus the questioning,’ he explained.
The television personality also called out their disconnect.
‘I literally live in two different worlds with you,’ he emphasized.
‘There’s the reality and then there’s what you spin the reality to be. You’re really gifted at playing victim,’ he told his then-fiancée.
Additionally, Carl also named the hurtful things Lindsay had said leading up to their final conversation.
‘Time and time again you’re over-questioning, you bulldoze me, you called me a loser,’ he listed.
‘You called me a little b***h, you called me a little baby, little mama’s boy — “run home to your parents.”‘
He then turned the discourse to his sobriety journey, admitting that he believed Hubbard was rooting for his downfall.
‘I don’t think you trust me,’ Carl went onto say.
‘I think you think I’m gonna relapse. I think you want me to relapse. I think you want me to fall back so you can control me even more,’ he unleashed.
The social media star added: ‘We continue to trigger each other and I don’t want to live like that.
‘We are supposed to be married in two and a half months and I’m not ready to do that. I don’t feel comfortable. I’m hurt, I’m really unhappy and I don’t think our communication is going to improve.’
Lindsay fired back, ‘You want me to fight right now for this relationship? I’m not gonna beg you to be with me.
‘There’s no more point to this conversation, you’ve made the decision clear.’

While she called her father to vent in another room of their NYC apartment, Carl chatted with producers.
‘I can hear her conversation,’ he told someone off camera. ‘It’s like “all of a sudden.”
‘No, this isn’t all of a sudden. That’s the crazy part. She’s blind to the things that have gone on the last year. Fight after fight after fight.’
‘Even in this building we had a noise complaint because of our fighting and she got an email from the landlord,’ he revealed.
He expressed feeling like he’s ‘always gonna lose’ with Lindsay. ‘She’s gonna spin and tell everybody she’s blind-sided, she’s caught off guard and I’m gonna be the a**hole again and my life will be canceled. But she’ll be the fallen woman who everyone’s gonna feel sorry for.’
Carl and Lindsay will face each other again on Thursday, June 6, at 9 pm on the Summer House reunion.
