Linda Robson Expresses Concern Over Loose Women’s Seasonal Changes and Staff Cuts

Linda Robson has admitted ‘everyone is worried about the changes’ on Loose Women ahead of ITV’s cost-cutting measures to daytime.

It was previously revealed how the panel show, which airs directly after schedule staple This Morning, was being slashed to a seasonal slot.

Loose Women will air for just 30 weeks of the year in the schedule shakeup, with Lorraine also following suit.

Daily Mail told how its studio audience will also be axed as it moves to a shared studio space with This Morning and Lorraine.

Jobs are set to be cut as ITV moves to utilising just one production team to work across the three shows.

Ahead of the changes, Linda has shared how ‘everyone’ in front and behind the camera is worried about the changes.

The 67-year-old said: ‘I think everyone is worried about the changes, but you just try and stay positive, don’t you?

‘I have a few other things in the pipeline, so hopefully Lesley [Joseph] and I will do something together.’

Linda first made her appearance on the panel over 20 years ago, in 2003.

Despite the cuts, Linda still feels like a Loose Woman, adding: ‘I’m definitely loose tongued.

‘I’ve got a loose mouth, and I’m saved as baggy mouth on the group chat.’

Sherrie Hewson previously hit out at the measures, branding them ‘cruel’ as she said the show offered a ‘lifeline’ to viewers.

She told The Sun on Sunday: ‘Women of all ages, those up to 95 down to younger women at home with young children, it’s like therapy to them.

‘It feels cruel and sad that they’ve decided to cut the episodes on Loose Women which is a show that can bring anger and emotions.’

Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women will relocate in January to the basement studio of London’s The H Club Studio, a former private members’ club in Covent Garden.

Almost 900 hours of live daily programming a year will be produced at the new studio, which features a 360-degree set with LED walls to project the backgrounds for the different shows.

Ahead of the move, there has already been departures from each show, with long-serving producer Jordan Rowley leaving Loose Women.

He revealed he had been axed and shared a string of photos alongside the Loose Women panellists, including Ruth, as he reflected on his time at ITV.

Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan and Nadia Sawalha were among the stars to pay tribute to Jordan on social media.

Meanwhile, Lorraine’s long-time editor Victoria Kennedy also announced she is leaving her role.

Victoria, who has been at the helm of the programme for over eight years, announced on LinkedIn that her tenure as Editor is coming to an end at the end of the month.
