‘Yeah, I do. Sometimes I’ll send her a text saying ‘get your own face! She’s like a better version. She’s got something that I don’t.

‘She looks like this gorgeous Disney animal — she’s got these giant eye

‘I think probably [Michael] helped with that a bit — but she’s very much herself.’

Lily was born four years after Kate and Michael, 56, met on a touring production of The Seagull.

The pair split in 2002 after seven years together when their daughter was just three years old, but Kate has made it clear in the past they are still on great terms.

She said previously: ‘I love Michael, Michael’s fantastic. It shouldn’t necessarily have gone on and on forever with us, but he is one of my absolutely favorite people ever.’

Their split was made all the more complicated as they had only recently settled in the US with Lily and Michael was forced to return to Britain while Kate remained overseas.

Kate has starred in huge movies including Pearl Harbor and Underworld while Michael is an actor on both stage and screen.

Lily has followed in her mother and father’s footsteps by pursuing an acting career and more recently appeared on The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent in 2022, starring Nicholas Cage and Pedro Pascal.

Speaking about his split from Kate back in 2020 on the podcast Changes With Annie Macmanus, Michael said: ‘Going through that experience of a relationship breaking down and having a young child, and then because of my daughter and her mum living in another country, having to make a life in a new place whilst going through that whole experience which is difficult enough.

‘I had no work visa to stay in America, so every time I left, I had to go back to Britain. I never knew if I would be allowed to come back in again.

‘So, I ended up having to get work in Britain because I wasn’t really getting any work in America. It really made me question certain things about myself.’

The actor, whose exes include Rachel McAdams and Sarah Silverman, became a dad once again in 2019 after welcoming daughter Lyra with partner Anna Lundberg, 30.

Kate later married American film director Len Wiseman, but they separated after 11 years.

Michael and Kate are still close friends, and she has previously said of him: ‘I really love him and like him and we make each other roar with laughter.’

The exes have even popped up on each other’s social media feeds in recent years, as they spend time with their daughter.
