Lily-Rose Depp has lifted the lid on the secrets behind the making of her highly-anticipated vampire flick Nosferatu.
This new version of the tale sees Bill Skarsgård take on the role of the bloodthirsty Count Orlok, with Lily-Rose playing Ellen Hutter, the object of his sinister obsession.
The French-American actress, 25 – who is the daughter of actor Johnny Depp and singer Vanessa Paraids – has received rave reviews for her role in the haunting remake.
And now Lily-Rose has given fans some insight into the making of Robert Eggers’ blood-filled Hollywood blockbuster, revealing some of the most uncomfortable parts of filming.
In one harrowing scene Lily-Rose is seen drenched in blood with it pouring out from her eyes, which she said was difficult to film.
‘There was blood that I would have to put in my eyes, and I’m tearing up just talking about it,’ she said. ‘My eyes are very sensitive.’

Lily-Rose spilled all on the new film in a chat with actress Natalie Portman for Interview Magazine on Tuesday.
The Black Swan star, 43, asked Lily-Rose – who Natalie has known since she was 16 years old – about how they achieved the bloody scenes. Natalie asked if directors were particular about how the blood would drip, something she knew of from past acting experiences.
Lily-Rose replied: ‘Yeah, they want it to drip in a certain way, for sure,’ adding that the eye blood was ‘a lot’ for her.
She also revealed that there is one part of the film where she is seen with a lot of blood on her bare body – meaning she had to stay in that same position for a long time.
The film sees Lily-Rose and her co-star, The Crown’s Emma Corrin, become possessed – and with that came challenging physicality.
Lily-Rose admitted she had assumed that for those haunted scenes her and Emma would ‘just freak out’ and improvise the movement.
But on arriving on set she discovered it was instead very choreographed, something she had assistance with from movement co-ordinator Marie-Gabrielle Rotie to master.
The pair also rehearsed with corsets on, Lily-Rose revealed, which she said helped with the characterisation as it gave them an insight into the physicality of women in the 1800s.

‘It’s helpful, because you’re thinking, “This is what these women at the time would’ve been wearing”,’ she said. ‘They would’ve been freaking out in a corset.
‘It’s a way of making physical all of the oppression against women at the time.’
Despite her performance being hailed a ‘revelation’, Lily-Rose has admitted that there was one aspect of the role which made her apprehensive – the accent.
Her character has an English accent, something Lily-Rose revealed she had not mastered when the audition landed in her email inbox, and didn’t want to embarrass herself.
But she was determined to clinch the role, so worked with dialect coach William Conacher to bring it up to speed in time for being seen by filmmaker Robert Eggers.
In addition to Lily-Rose, Emma and Bill, Nosferatu features a talented ensemble cast that includes Nicholas Hoult as Thomas Hutter, Ellen’s husband, Willem Dafoe as Professor Albin Eberhart Von Franz, a vampire hunter, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson – Thomas’s friend Friedrich, portrayed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
