Lily Collins has showed off the incredible transformation for her terrifying role in the new horror film MaXXXine, with a slew of ‘unhinged’ behind-the-scenes snaps.
The actress, 35, made her X film series debut and joined mainstay Mia Goth in the series’ third slasher film, which hit US and UK cinemas on Friday.
Along with the shots of Lily looking bloodied and dismembered, Lily captioned her Instagram post: ‘Spoiler alert! Finally get to share this unhinged BTS from @maxxxinemovie.
‘So much fun working with the genius that is #TiWest and the incomparable #MiaGoth, alongside an insanely talented cast and crew.
‘I feel very lucky to be included in such a wild trilogy and part of this totally insane ride. Run don’t walk to see it in theaters NOW…’

In MaXXXine, Lily plays Molly Bennett, an actress in The Puritan II, a film Mia’s character Maxine Minx wins the lead role of.
MaXXXine is preceded by March 2022’s X and Pearl: An X-traordinary Origin Story which was released just six months later.
Though the films grossed a total of $25million, their budgets were only $1million each making film firm box office successes.
Each of the films, as well as MaXXXine, were directed by Ti West and starred Mia Goth as Pearl and Maxine.
Mia was joined by Jenna Ortega and Brittany Snow in X.
And Lily is just one of the star-studded MaXXXine cast which also boasts Kevin Bacon, The Crown’s Elizabeth Debicki, and American singer Halsey.
Ti, who occasionally acts, also wrote the X trilogy and is known for his substantial work in horror.
His other horrors include The Roost (2005), Trigger Man (2007), The House of the Devil (2009), The Innkeepers (2011), The Sacrament (2013).
In the post’s caption, Lily praised MaXXXine’s cast and crew and shared how thankful she was to be a part of the X film series while encouraging fans to see the film now

MaXXXine’s plot reads: ‘In 1980s Hollywood, adult film star and aspiring actress Maxine Minx finally gets her big break.
However, as a mysterious killer stalks the starlets of Los Angeles, a trail of blood threatens to reveal her sinister past.’
MaXXXine enjoyed its Hollywood premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre on June 24.
Elizabeth, 33, commanded attention in a sparkly champagne co-ord at the TCL Chinese Theatre and then Chateau Marmont for the afterparty.
Lily, 35, went braless in a powder blue skirt suit, distracting from her bare chest with stunning Egyptian-inspired gold jewellery.
Also this year, Lily starred in Halo Of Stars, based on Lucero’s long poem The Clown.
Set against the backdrop of a small traveling circus, the film follows a European clown and his 7-year-old daughter as they lead each other through the everyday mysteries of love, magic and loss.
Lily currently portrays Emily Cooper in Netflix hit Emily In Paris. The show has aired three series, and its fourth will begin on August 15.
