LILY Allen got a kiss from surprise guest Dakota Johnson during her appearance on this weekend’s Saturday Night Live.
While the artist was performing new song Madeline – which was written during her split from husband David Harbour – the Fifty Shades Of Grey actress appeared on stage as the infamous “Madeline”.
Madeline is a song from Lily’s recent album, West End Girl, which has been dubbed a “revenge album” to her Stranger Things ex by fans.
It is thought to detail David’s alleged affair, with “Madeline” – a pseudonym for his mistress.
And appearing on popular US show Saturday Night Live this weekend, Lily took the saga one step further.
At the end of the song, Dakota Johnson’s voice could be heard from behind the curtain delivering Madeline’s side of the story.
She said: “I hate that you’re in so much pain right now. I really don’t wanna be the cause of any upset. He told me that you were aware this was going on and that he had your full consent.
“If he’s lying about that, then please let me know. Because I have my own feelings about dishonesty. Lies are not something that I wanna get caught up in.”
She finished: “You can reach out to me any time, by the way. If you need any more details or you just need to vent or anything.”
Dakota then appeared out from the curtain and planted a kiss on Lily, who said: “Love and light, Madeline”.
The unlikely friends shared a hug as they closed off the performance.
Fans went wild when Lily’s new album dropped and seemingly contained intricate details of her recent split.
The name Madeline is also mentioned in one of the album’s other songs, Tennis, as Lily sings: “I can’t get my head round how you’ve been playing tennis.
“If it was just sex I wouldn’t be jealous. You won’t play with me and who the f*** is Madeline?”
News of David and Lily’s split broke publicly in February 2025, which came four years after they tied the knot.
Despite David recently being spotted with Lily’s children, Ethel and Marnie, who she shares with ex-husband Sam Cooper, things have been far from civil between the two.
Talking of her new album and whether art really does imitate life, Lily told The Times earlier this year: “I don’t think I could say it’s all true. I have artistic license.
“But yes, there are definitely things I experienced within my relationship that have ended up on this album”.
In October, the woman thought to be the real life “Madeline” and at the heart of the split was revealed as costume designer Natalie Tippett.
Natalie, 34, a single mother from New Orleans, met David on the set of the Netflix film We Have A Ghost in 2021, where she worked in the costume department.
The pair reportedly began an affair during filming, and David later flew Natalie to his home in Atlanta, Georgia.
After meeting David on celeb dating app Raya back in 2019, Lily is reportedly searching for love again on the app.
