This Morning life coach Michelle Elman has revealed she will undergo brain surgery.
The relationship expert, 31, had an MRI scan on Tuesday, which showed she has a cyst on her brain and a magnet that needs replacing.
Michelle was born Hydrocephalus, an excess of cerebrospinal fluid, and doctors later discovered that she was also born with a brain tumour. The magnet helps control the flow of the fluid.
The daytime TV star took to Instagram to document the appointment, as she shared with fans: ‘My life has been high highs and low lows atm and this morning was a miserable one with lots of bad news that I’m not prepared to deal with.’
Michelle later revealed: ‘Yesterday I found out I need another brain surgery. I have a cyst in my brain again and also the magnet in my brain needs replacing.
‘It’s not urgent but it is needed so now I have to figure out when to schedule this so it disrupts my life as little as possible.

‘Inevitably I will have to pause my life and go deal with this, likelihood it will be next year, but until then it’s business as usual.’
Michelle went on to say she doesn’t like talking about her health as she has spent her ‘whole life making my world bigger than a hospital bed’.
The presenter has had 15 surgeries in the first 20 years of her life, including operations to fix an obstructed bowel and punctured intestine.
She continued: ‘My medical record is rarely simple so ultimately I’m doing my best to make peace with it all and to be honest I have lived a great life and really milked every moment I’ve had in this world so can’t complain.’
Speaking on Loose Women in 2018, Michelle revealed what it felt like to die after she flat-lined following brain surgery.
She went into surgery at the age of 11 so doctors could run tests on the brain she flat-lined, and she remembers floating above her bed.
She called death ‘peaceful and calm’ and hopes to reassure people that it isn’t as scary as they might think.
The relationship guru explained: ‘I still remember floating above my bed.

In April 2023, Michelle was left heartbroken after discovering she had been betrayed by her partner of three years, just hours after their engagement (picture taken in 2023)
‘What’s really nice to know is it’s a really calm sensation when you die, and that’s what I’d like to tell people because it gives you a bit solace that even in the last moments it’s really peaceful and really calm.
‘In my head it was five minutes but apparently it was a few seconds. I remember everything that happened but apparently my eyes were closed.
‘I didn’t talk about it for years but it makes me sound a bit crazy.’

Speaking to Daily Mail, Michelle said: ‘There were points where I was like Why am I not more angry? Don’t worry, it will come.
‘I just wasn’t at that point. I think what probably was most shocking to my friends and family is that anger came very late. And it also wasn’t a lot.
‘Especially as a life coach, anger is one of the emotions I’m most comfortable with. And it just was the one that just I didn’t feel as angry as I thought I would be.’
