It comes after leading lady Anya Taylor-Joy revealed that a 15-minute action scene in her new film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga took a staggering 78 days to film.
Appearing on The One Show on Thursday alongside co-star Chris, Anya gave presenters Roman Kemp and Lauren Laverne some insight about what goes into filming such a long scene.
‘We shot it for 78 days, 78 days!’ Anya said. ‘Yes. It’s called Stowaway. It was 100 per cent the mountain we were all trying to climb.’
Anya went on to say that the scene had its own team due to how mammoth a task it was, also known as a second unit, and was directed by Guy Norton – a stuntman in the first Mad Max.

The flick is a prequel to 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road, once again helmed by creator George Miller, and is an origin story for Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron in the previous film
She continued: ‘It was wild! It was so much fun but really interesting because it all took place on the war rig, so I had it very mapped out in my head like ‘Okay I’ve got a month and a half underneath the rig, a month on the side’.
‘When I finally made it into the cabin next to Tom Burke, he handed me a sandwich and was like ‘Well done, you’ve made it’ and I was like ‘Thank you’.’
The pair’s appearance on the BBC show came as they jetted to the UK from the south of France, where they were attended the Furiosa premiere at Cannes.
Anya looked every inch the leading lady as she walked the red carpet wearing a stunning strapless Dior gown with a corset-style top and diamond jewellery from Tiffany.
She showed off her fashion credentials in the light gold number which was adorned with crystals and teamed with a statement silver necklace.
Anya wore her blonde tresses in a sleek bob and wore simple stud earrings while opting for a slick of red lip for a pop of colour.
Her leading man Chris soon made his arrival in a smart white suit and was joined by his glamorous wife Elsa Pataky, 47, who wore a chic black gown.
For Anya, Furiosa in Cannes is a full circle moment. The first time she came to the festival was to receive a Chopard trophy as an emerging actor in 2017. It was presented by the original Furiosa, Charlize, the star of Fury Road.

Anya and Chris with the film’s director George Miller
Anya and Chris arrived in France earlier in the week for the world premiere of their new Mad Max film. She is staying in the famous Hotel Martinez whilst in Cannes.
And earlier on Wednesday Anya went braless in cardigan and hot pants as she was seen leaving her hotel ahead of the premiere.
The Queen’s Gambit star graciously stopped to take selfies with waiting fans, while keeping her eyes hidden under black sunglasses.
The flick – which is not being released to theatres until May 23 – is a prequel to lauded 2015 blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road.
Creator George Miller has returned to helm the movie, which is an origin story for the title character, played by Charlize in the previous film.
The Thor star described his villainous character Dementus as ‘a very violent, insane, brutal person that is born from the Wasteland’.
He added: ‘[Dementus] has been birthed into a space where it’s kill or be killed. He’s learned to rule with an iron fist. There’s a charisma to him and it’s very manipulative.’

While the full reviews won’t be in until closer to the release date, early reactions to Furiosa from a wide range of film critics have been promising.
They lauded George’s direction and were full of universal praise for the performances of Anya and Chris, with many commenting the film was a worthy addition to the franchise.
George described the prequel as ‘a saga’ that will be told over a 15-year period, which is much different from Fury Road, which spanned three days in its timeframe.
Filming for Furiosa took place in New South Wales, Australia, beginning in June 2022 and wrapping up by October.
