Liam Gallagher avoided an awkard run-in with former flame Lily Allen on Saturday evening after skipping the wrap party for the UK leg of the Oasis reunion tour for a quiet night in with his girlfriend.
It was left to his brother Noel Gallagher to welcome a coterie of famous friends and family members at Chiltern Firehouse, hours after completing the final UK gig of their very lucrative reunion tour.
Hours earlier, the reunited pair played out the final strains of Champagne Supernova, the last song on a 23-track set-list, in front of thousands at Wembley Stadium before exiting stage right with the promise of more UK shows next year.
But Liam was curiously absent as Noel left the north London venue with girlfriend Sally Mash and made his way to Marylebone’s legendary Firehouse for a late night party attended by notable celebrities Matt Smith, Lily James, Poppy Delevingne, and the musician’s old friend, Lily Allen.
Elsewhere, Liam had a ‘low-key celebration’ with his partner Debbie Gwyther so that he could prioritise resting his voice ahead of the band’s North America dates.
Some might say it was rather fortuitous given the younger Gallagher brother’s colourful history with Allen, who famously recalled a mile high tryst with the singer aboard a Tokyo bound flight in her 2018 autobiography, My Thoughts Exactly. Meanwhile, her long-standing friendship with Noel appears to be no less flirtatious, albeit less intimate.

Remarkably, the reunion came just weeks after the publication of her autobiography and lurid allegations of a fling with his younger brother while he was still married to his second wife
The singer was just 10 years old when she first met the musician at Supernova Heights, the legendary Belsize Park home he shared with first wife Meg Matthews in the mid ’90s.
It would be a friendship through association of course, with Lily’s comedian father Keith Allen a regular visitor to Noel’s notorious ‘party palace’ – a Georgian-style terraced house named after one of his best known songs.
‘I’ve known Lil since she was a kid,’ Recalled Noel in a 2009 blog post. ‘Her old fella used to bring her round to that Supernova Heights gaff of mine in the ’90s.
‘A good kid. Works hard, plays hard.’
Their bond was evident in 2012 when the musician revealed he’d tried, and failed, to sign her up for a Teenage Cancer Trust gig alongside thrash metal legends Metallica.
He told NME: ‘I tried to get Metallica, because I know the drummer quite well. We asked Lily Allen to do it, and then she fell pregnant. How dare she!’
The following year Lily’s playful relationship with Noel was on display as they crossed paths at the Arts Club, where Sony were hosting a BRIT Awards after-party.
The young singer, then 27, was pictured attempting to plant a kiss on his cheek as they mingled with guests at the central London venue.

Remarkably, the reunion came just weeks after the publication of her autobiography and lurid allegations of a fling with his younger brother while he was still married to his second wife, All Saints singer Nicole Appleton.
‘We got hammered on the plane,’ reads one extract from the book. ‘At some point Liam and I found ourselves together in the toilet doing something that he shouldn’t have been doing, and it wasn’t drugs. Then we were in a lie-down bed together.
‘When we landed in Tokyo, Liam said, in his distinctive nasal twang, ‘What you doing now? Why don’t you come back to our hotel’… I was like, ‘Yeah, OK’.’
She added: ‘It wasn’t until the next day when he said something like, ‘No one can hear about this because of Nic,’ then I clocked he was married.
‘I knew Noel was married and I knew Liam had been married to Patsy Kensit. That was partly why I fancied him.’
Despite the controversy – Liam’s marriage to Nicole collapsed several years before the publication of her autobiography – Lily offered her own opinion on the reunion tour in July 2024, shortly after it was announced.
‘I don’t think there’s anticipation for a band like Oasis,’ she told Miquita Oliver during their Miss Me? podcast. ‘I mean, people were f***ing devastated when they said they weren’t going to be together again.
‘Not even Take That, or The Spice Girls… I mean they did have a reunion and it wasn’t as big a deal.’
Noel and Liam are preparing for a month long break after concluding the UK leg of their lucrative Live ’25 tour at Wembley Stadium.
The tour will resume in South Korea when the band perform the first of several shows across the far east, starting at Goyang Stadium on October 21.
