Liam and Noel Gallagher Reveal Fitness Plans for Oasis Reunion Tour

They are gearing up for one the most hotly anticipated tours of the decade, but first they’re on a mission to get in shape.

Liam and Noel Gallagher delighted fans last year when they announced they would be reuniting after years of feuding for a number of huge Oasis gigs.

And as the tour draws ever nearer, it has been reported the brothers have been hitting the gym in order to be in the best shape they can before taking to the stage.

Liam is said to be making the most of his French home’s swimming pool and going for jogs around London’s Hampstead Heath.

Meanwhile Noel has hired a personal trainer as he reportedly isn’t as self motivated as his brother when it comes to fitness.

A source told The Sun: ‘Both brothers need to be in the best shape of their lives for the physical onslaught of touring, they’re no spring chickens and are both in their fifties.

‘Liam has politely declined personal trainers but brother Noel is taking all the help he can get.’

They added of Noel’s plans: ‘He’s not as motivated as Liam but realises he needs to be in the best shape possible for their tour.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Liam and Noel for comment.

It was revealed last summer that in preparation for the tour, Liam and his partner Debbie Gwyther relocated to the Cotswolds for a dose of outdoor living while their London home was being renovated.

According to reports from The Mirror, the star has begun eating a healthy diet and embarking on running sessions and has given up smoking and alcohol ahead of Saturday’s first gig at Sheffield Utilita Arena.

A source close to the singer told the publication: ‘He’s getting lots of country walks with their rescue dog Buttons and eating healthily, cutting down on alcohol and going for bike rides and runs.

‘He knows how quickly these Definitely Maybe gigs sold out and wants them to be epic shows. Rehearsals have gone really well and now he just can’t wait to get on stage and have it.’

And speaking about his new health regime in March he revealed he hoped to ‘undo years of partying’ amid his arthritis battle and dealing with an autoimmune condition.

He admitted how his age is catching up with him after years of drinking and drug taking and that he now has a very different lifestyle.

In 2023 Liam revealed that he needed the joints replacing in his hip due to arthritis as a result of a longstanding thyroid problem. He then underwent a major hip operation.

Before that in 2017 he was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune condition of the thyroid gland. In addition he also suffers with the skin condition psoriasis.

He has now told The Sun: ‘You’ve got to undo all the bad work you’ve done through f***ing getting off your head and all that.

‘It’s time to undo it all now and get back to reality. All that stuff that you thought was cool in the early days . . . it’s time to get healthy.’

His ‘health trip’ has seen him cutting back on booze and stop drug taking and he now gets up at 4am every day.

Liam told the publication: ‘As you get older, life is precious, do you know what I mean? I’m a pretty happy-go-lucky guy. I love waking up early in the morning.

‘I’m definitely on the downwards slide, though. But we’re all going to die, aren’t we?’

Speaking about his hip issues last year he said: ‘My hips are f***ed, I’ve got arthritis, bad.

‘I went to get it checked out and my bones are mashed up. The lady was going, “Oh, you might need a hip operation, a replacement”.’

He said at the time he didn’t want the operation because of the ‘stigma’.

‘I think I’d rather just be in pain. Which is ridiculous, obviously. I know that. Just get them fixed. But it’s the stigma, saying you’ve had your hips replaced. What’s next?’

He told MoJo magazine: ‘When the weather’s cold, my hips are like snap, crackle and pop. I need warmth.

‘I can’t sleep at night for the pain. Tossing and turning. So I’m on herbal sleeping tablets and they’ve saved my life. One of them, seven hours out, no pain, nothing.

‘My new thing is Deep Heat. Caked myself in it on the knees and hips, the calves, then into the steam room for as long as I can handle it.’

Liam, a keen jogger, was told by doctors to run less to help manage the condition.
