He hails from a small village in Scotland but now, after topping the charts and making a fortune, Lewis Capaldi has splashed out on a London mansion – next door to his pop rival Harry Styles.
I can reveal that the Someone You Loved crooner has moved to Hampstead, North London, and another of his neighbours is This Morning’s new presenter Cat Deeley and her husband, Patrick Kielty.
The house is thought to be worth upwards of £3 million and is close to the nearby pond where Lewis is often seen walking with friends.
A source close to Lewis tells me: ‘He and Harry are both British superstars who surely will at some point go to war in the charts with their music, yet they live on one another’s doorsteps. You can only imagine what the conversation is when they bump into one another.

‘Lewis is super-friendly to all of the neighbours and is really enjoying living in the area. It is really quite different to where he grew up. It’s such a beautiful area and not cheap – it just shows you how much money he has made in a relatively short time.’
Lewis was born in Glasgow but moved to East Whitburn in West Lothian with his family when he was four.
Since becoming a star he has raced up the property ladder with a £1.6 million home on the outskirts of Glasgow, but is now swapping counting one One Direction star as a neighbour for living next to another – the singer was previously in a plush apartment in Battersea, south-west London, close to Niall Horan.
Cat, 47, and Patrick, 53, bought their mansion on the same road where Harry purchased two properties that he planned to make into a super-home. Cat and Pat are currently renovating their house.
