Kody Brown’s estranged transgender child, Leon Brown, broke their year-long social media hiatus to blast his public claim on Sunday’s episode of Sister Wives that he ‘reached out to every one of [his] children multiple times.’
‘There’s a ridiculous video of my father circulating where he says he reaches out to his children,’ the 30-year-old Substack writer – who goes by they/them pronouns – wrote via Instagram Story on Tuesday.
‘Let me be so f***ing clear: I have not heard from that man since my brother killed himself,’ they claimed.
Leon was referring to their late half-brother – Nevada Army National Guardsman Robert ‘Garrison’ Brown – who died, at age 25, in March 2024 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
‘Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown,’ Brown’s second ex-‘wife’ Janelle Schriever Brown announced at the time.
‘He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.’

Leon – whose gender affirmation was in 2022 after coming out as lesbian in 2017 – went on to claim that the 56-year-old grandfather-of-six ‘blatantly blew me off at Garrison’s funeral.’
‘He is a liar. He is a joke of a father. That’s all,’ the Westminster College grad concluded.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Brown’s rep for comment.
The polygamist patriarch welcomed Leon (born Mariah) during his 24-year marriage to first ex-wife Meri Barber Brown, which legally ended in 2014 before they ended their ‘spiritual union’ in 2021.
On Sunday’s episode of his TLC reality show, Brown broke down in tears after admitting he doesn’t feel ‘comfortable communicating with’ his older children and he’s still ‘angry about what a lot of the kids have said, done and believed.’
‘I’ve reached out to every one of my children, and multiple times,’ the Special Forces star blasted.
‘And if they don’t have a relationship with me, it’s because they’re not reciprocating.’
Brown’s fourth wife, Robyn Sullivan Brown, suggested that his three prior wives might be ‘influencing’ how ‘hurt’ their children feel about him.
