Leigh Francis shares sweet snaps with his rarely seen wife Jill as he wishes her a happy Valentine’s Day

Leigh Francis shared snaps with his rarely seen wife Jill as he wished her a happy Valentine’s Day with a series of throwback Instagram snaps on Friday.

The comedian, 51, met his beauty therapist wife, 48, when they were teenagers and has always tended to keep their personal life out of the spotlight.

The couple have been together for 30 years and married back in 2002 in a ceremony in North Yorkshire and share two daughters Matilda and Dolly together.

Wishing his partner a happy Valentine’s Day, Leigh posted a range of snaps to Instagram showing their relationship from start to end.

The pair looked smitten in the pictures as they shared some of their favourite memories over the years.

Leigh – who is also known as his alter ego Keith Lemon – penned: ‘Happy Valentine’s Day @jillfrancis766 for ever and ever! ☎️ you’.

In a previous interview with MailOnline, Leigh opened up about marriage and family life.

He said: ‘Everyone thinks that we wake up and the comedy starts, but it’s not like that.

‘She sees the real me, the grumpy me. She holds it together for in the family, Jill is an amazing woman, Jill does everything, she is the best. I love everything about her.

‘She is so special and is a brilliant mum to our kids.’

He added: ‘When everyone meets her, they say ‘he is punching’. Why would I want to date anyone who looks like me? Everyone should punch above their weight when they are dating!’

Keith and Jill have been together since 1991, getting together when they were 19 and 16, respectively.

Looking back on the start of their romance, Leigh previously reflected that there was ‘nothing wrong with them dating’ as Jill was ‘old enough’, with the couple defying naysayers with their love and are ‘still together today’.

He was previously said that Jill prefers to go out with him when he isn’t playing his alter-ego, so they can be a ‘normal’ couple.

After attending the 2016 TRIC Awards with Jill, Leigh explained: ‘I promised her Keith wouldn’t be there so we could just have a bit of time on our own being normal.

‘You can tell it’s me instead of Keith because I’ve got my hair tied back into a tiny bun like a fashion nonce.’

Last year, Leigh was crowned the winner of the second episode of this year’s Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.

The comedian beat EastEnders legend Danny Dyer, funnyman Rhod Gilbert and radio DJ Yinka Bokinni to receive the Star Baker apron on Sunday night.

Leigh dropped his Keith Lemon alter ego to take part in the Channel 4 special and managed to wow judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with his ‘disgusting’ Showstopper.

Tasked with creating a cake out of their biggest disaster, Leigh decided to recreate the moment he lost his toenail, crafting an impressive baked replica of his injured foot.

The judges and viewers were left seriously impressed with the bake, especially after Leigh confessed that he had never made a cake before.

The show also saw the four celebs tasked with making 12 biscuits for their first task, the Signature challenge and tricky fondant fancies for their Technical.

Leigh also impressed in the Technical, taking first place. He follows in Spencer Matthew’s footsteps after the Made In Chelsea star won the first episode.
