Coronation Street actor Philip Middlemiss looked worlds away from his soap character during an appearance on Loose Women on Monday.
The actor, 60, was known to Corrie fans for his role as love rat Des Barnes which he played from 1990 until 1998.
Phillip appeared on ITV daytime show Loose Women today sporting short white hair, which was much lighter than the brown locks he sported on the cobbles.
He appeared in good spirits as he wore a smart black jacket over a white top this week.
Philip left Coronation Street after his character suffered a heart attack and died in wife Natalie’s (Denise Welch) arms.

The actor, 60, was known to Corrie fans for his role as love rat Des Barnes which he played from 1990 until 1998 (seen on Coronation Street in 1993)
One of his most memorable storylines was sabotaging his ex-girlfriend Raquel’s engagement party to Curly Watts and forcing her to admit she didn’t really love the man she was set to marry.
It was Philip’s decision to leave Coronation Street and he had asked bosses to kill his character off.
He made his TV debut in 1986 on the show Ladies In Charge and also appeared in The Bill and Waterfront Beat.
His most notable post-Corrie role was as David Buckley in the ITV drama Where The Heart Is which he starred in from 2000 to 2006.
Philip has since stepped back from acting with his final role being an appearance on Doctors in 2014.
In 2012, Middlemiss declared himself bankrupt which at the time he blamed on financial difficulty spiralling from a film which he was directing in Africa grounding to a halt after three years in the country.
In 2020, Philip was sought by police in Ghana over an alleged £5million air bribery.
Prosecutors named the former actor among four people they would like to speak to in relation to the £50million sale of three Airbus C-295 military planes to the country.

Some time after starring in the ITV Soap, Philip reportedly headed to Ghana to start making a film.
He then claimed to have befriended the brother of the country’s vice-president, before heading back to the UK.
Ghana’s special prosecutor Martin Amidu stated Middlemiss was believed to have been a project manager for Airbus, which sold the planes, when the alleged bribery took place.
It was also alleged that he incorporated a company in the UK in 2010 through which he assisted Airbus with the suspect deal.
The actor was never charged and was formally cleared by investigators.

Philip spoke about the allegations on Good Morning Britain in 2021, saying the ordeal had turned his life upside down and caused him to suffer panic attacks.
He said: ‘I ended up losing the house, the car. It’s a very stressful situation.’
In an interview with the Mirror, he added: ‘My heart started missing a few beats, leading to regular palpitations. And many sleepless nights.
‘Protecting my family is paramount, I’m fortunate to have a great support network and very loyal friends.’
