It’s the dance that lit up TikTok and went on to become a viral sensation.
And now Australian actor David Wenham has shown off ‘flossing’ skills.
The 59-year-old Lord of the Rings actor busted out his impressive dance moves during Sunday’s episode of The Project.
Wenham gave a stellar performance after boasting he did all his own version of the dance in the upcoming Australian comedy feature film, Spit.
Co-host Sarah Harris asked the Moulin Rouge star to ‘prove it’, and after hesitating for a few seconds Wenham agreed to do the dance.
‘You start off slowly,’ he said, as he began to shake his hips side to side while swinging his arms.

He quickly went into high speed, wowing The Project panel and the studio audience who roared their approval as he finished his performance.
Wenham laughed and gave himself a ‘goal’ salute.
Also seen in the segment was a brief clip of the Sea Change actor performing his vigorous ‘flossing dance’ in his new film Spit, which is a sequel to the 2003 Australian cult film Gettin’ Square.
Wenham reprises his role as the goofy character Johnny ‘Spit’ Spitieri, a small time criminal featured prominently in the original film which co-starred Sam Worthington.
Spit is schedule to hit theatres Down Under next month.
‘Flossing’ became popular, especially with children, after 2014.
Two years later, a video created by a 14-year-old called Russell Horning went viral.

Horning later performed the dance to Katy Perry’s Swish Swish on Saturday Night Live.
The dance sees the performer move their arms and hips in opposing directions – appearing to mimic the action of flossing teeth.
Wenham became a sex symbol in the late ’90s thanks to his role as Daniel Della Bosca, better known as Diver Dan, in the ABC TV show SeaChange.
Despite leaving the series early in its run, Diver Dan remains a fan favourite.
He owned a boat shed and café on the show and was the love interest of protagonist Laura Gibson, played by Sigrid Thornton.
After leaving the series, Wenham was cast in Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 blockbuster musical Moulin Rogue!
He made his debut in the Lord of the Rings franchise as Faramir in 2002, before starring in Van Helsing in 2004 and the action epic 300 in 2006.
He starred opposite Nicole Kidman in the critically acclaimed 2016 drama Lion.
