Lauren Phillips took a swipe at her radio rival Jackie ‘O’ Henderson on Thursday morning when she claimed she could beat the KIIS FM star in a boxing match.
The new Nova FM host, 42, had her breakfast show axed from KIIS FM last year to make way for The Kyle and Jackie O Show’s expansion into Melbourne, and it seems she still holds a grudge.
Speaking with co-host Jason ‘Jase’ Hawkins and presenter Clint Stanaway about who would win in celebrity boxing matches, Lauren said she could easily defeat Jackie O.
‘Who do you think could win a fight between Lauren Phillips and Jackie O?’ Jase, 42, asked Clint, 42.
Lauren quickly replied: ‘Me. Every day of the week! Boxing? Oh, I would. Have you seen the size of me compared to the size of her?’

She continued: ‘I could eat her for breakfast! She’d be a featherweight and I would not be… is a featherweight the light weight one?’
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Jackie O for comment.
It comes after Jase and Lauren slammed their former employers at KIIS FM after their Melbourne show was cancelled to make room for The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

In their first show for Nova FM, Jase said he was ‘stung’ that The Jase and Lauren Show was replaced by a program ‘networking from Sydney’.
‘Melbourne deserves better… It was how it was handled. And not just for us, but everyone that worked on the show,’ he said at the time.
Elsewhere in the segment, Jase revealed his hurt over being ousted by ARN, owners of KIIS FM.

Lauren appeared to be just as miffed as her on-air partner, saying: ‘We weren’t spoken to about it. It was like we were being spoken about, but no one spoke to us.’
Jase and Lauren recorded their last KIIS FM show on December 1.
In November, Sydney-based radio duo Kyle and Jackie O signed a record-breaking $200million, 10-year deal live on-air – keeping them on the airwaves until 2034.
At the time, a spokesperson for ARN confirmed to Daily Mail Australia the deal for the Sydney duo meant their work pals Jase and Lauren were out of a job.
Jase and Lauren had their first show together at KIIS FM in 2021, and it had an overwhelmingly positive response.
