Lauren Goodger has compared parts of her life to a ‘storm’ she ‘never asked for’ in a candid post on Thursday.
The TOWIE star, 38, broke down in tears as she discussed the anniversary of her late baby daughter Lorena in recent scenes on the show.
Lauren gave birth to her second daughter in July 2022, but she sadly passed away just minutes after she was born with her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck.
And taking to her Instagram Story, Lauren shared a black and white selfie as she admitted she has ‘nights of fear’ and anxiety.
She penned: ‘Some chapters of my life read like a storm I never asked for – nights of fear, days of pressure and anxiety that returns without warning.
‘I don’t pretend to understand it all.’ What I do know is this – I’m still here, still smiling, still standing,’ she continued.

‘God is with me, and my daughter is my light. For her, I keep going – imperfect, brave and hopeful.’
Lauren broke down into tears as she discussed the anniversary of Lorena’s death with her co-stars Junaid Ahmed, Saffron Lempriere, Amy Childs, Freddie Bently, and Livvy Jay.
Opening up to her co-stars, she said: ‘Obviously it’s a really hard day for me. Obviously three years ago I lost Lorena in labour.
‘She should be here and I think it’s harder because it’s Larose’s birthday in two weeks.’
‘Oh so you got a low and then a high again,’ Saffron said.
Lauren emotionally continued: ‘And it’s like, it’s a hard month for me. And I hold this pain inside because she hasn’t got a sister when she should have a sister.’
‘It’s so cruel,’ Freddie added.
Tearing up, Lauren said: ‘I don’t understand any of it.’

Amy replied: ‘But Lorena’s with you every day, Lauren do you know that? She’s with you like..’
Lauren said: ‘Yeah, and this is why I’ve sort of done this because it’s important.
‘Last year I stayed in with Larose in the garden and now I have to get out and talk about her rather than hiding.
‘I think that’s why it’s even harder for me because I am on my own.’
Comforting Lauren, Junaid said: ‘But you’re so strong and you need to remember you got all your friends and family’
Tearful Lauren replied: ‘So that’s why I’ve done this and it means a lot to me that yous have come.’
She continued: ‘But I’m strong, I don’t do this in front of Larose. I don’t let it out, do you know what I mean.
Amy said: ‘Like I said Lauren, you can ring me up at 3 in the morning, I’m going to always be there for you.’
