Married At First Sight’s Lauren Dunn and Jonathan McCullough’s ‘marriage’ has been anything but a fairytale.
But it seems Lauren, 32, and Jonathan, 39, may have finally put their differences aside after they were spotted enjoying a rare date during a filming break.
The pair were pictured sharing smiles and an intimate evening at the Miso Japanese Teishoku Restaurant in Sydney, hinting at a blossoming connection.
As they settled in away from the cameras and the pressures of the show, Lauren and Jonathan appeared engaged in deep conversation.
Captured looking relaxed and joyful as they walked the city streets, Lauren’s laughter seemed to light up the night, with Jonathan matching her bright expression.

Perth-based PR maven Lauren opted for a chic, casual ensemble dressed in a black blazer layered over a white top.
She teamed up her look with a pair of wide-legged jeans and white sneakers.
Buoya Vital owner Jono opted for a classic, smart-casual style, donning a clean-cut, black sweater paired with black trousers. His look is polished off with white sneakers.

The rare outing comes after reports that Jono and Lauren wanted almost nothing to do with each other when cameras weren’t rolling.
‘Lauren didn’t want to spend any time with Jono when they weren’t filming,’ a well-placed insider told Daily Mail Australia.
‘Though they had some really good times, Lauren would often prefer to hang out with friends, watch reality TV and ignore him when he asked if she wanted dinner.’

‘The rest of the cast felt sorry for him, she would barely look up from her phone or even respond when he tried to talk to her.’
Jono, on his part, seemed to prioritise his gym sessions, while Lauren was content with her sleep ins and was frequently seen with fellow bride Sara Mesa.
Despite producers warning the cast against any ‘catch ups’, Lauren and Sara didn’t have a care in the world as they continued to plan outings together without their partners.

Another source defended Lauren, suggesting a feeling of betrayal from Jono because he ‘hung her out to dry’ at the dinner parties.
‘Lauren absolutely had zero interest in spending more time with him some weekends than was required. She felt betrayed and let down,’ said the insider.
Married At First Sight continues on Sunday at 7pm on Channel Nine.
