Bachelor alum Lauren Bushnell Lane is following in the footsteps of another reality star – Kylie Jenner.
The influencer, 33, announced she had legally changed the name of the newest member of her family, her nearly one-year-old son Baker Weston Lane.
Lauren revealed she had changed her child’s middle name from Weston to West in what she dubbed a ‘Kylie Jenner moment.’
Kylie, 26, also famously changed the name of her second child, son Aire, after originally naming her Wolf.
Announcing her child’s new moniker on Instagram, she explained how she and her husband impulsively decided on their child’s middle name in the hospital.

‘I just dropped off Baker’s name change form at the Vital Records Office, but I’m just having a Kylie Jenner moment, you know, changing my son’s name,’ she explained to followers on her Instagram Stories on Friday, according to Us Weekly.
She clarified they only changed their child’s middle name, and his first name remains the same.
‘[It] was Weston, we actually, like, panicked in the hospital because we just couldn’t decide and it was between West and Weston, and we ended up going with Weston,’ she said.
Lauren explained how the new name suited her child better and how her family had already been calling him ‘West.’
‘But Baker is such a Baker West and that’s just what we call him. Dutton calls him Baker West, I call him Baker West [and] like his personality is so much more of a West than a Weston, so now he’s Baker West.’
Fortunately for Lauren, the process of changing her child’s name was painless.
‘It’s super easy if you want to change your kid’s name and they’re under 1. Very easy, just had to pay $15. So new name: Baker West,’ she added.
Lauren previously told Us Weekly her child’s name was on a list of baby names she had created on her phone.

‘I had one of those running lists like probably a lot of women out there do on my phone of baby names. Baker was on there. I don’t know. I don’t actually personally know anyone named Baker other than [football player] Baker Mayfield,’ she previously told Us Weekly.
She and her husband Chris Lane, however, insisted they didn’t name their child after the football player.
Lauren and her husband Chris, a country singer, have been married since 2019 and share two children together.
Lauren and her husband welcomed Baker on October 22, 2022. Baker was born just over a year after his big brother, Dutton, who arrived on June 8, 2021.
The reality star shot to stardom after winning the heart of Ben Higgins on The Bachelor back in 2016. They became engaged on the season finale and were together for two years before calling it quits.
