Less then two months after his passing, the Jimmy Buffett estate is once again promoting the late musician’s upcoming posthumous album – Equal Strain On All Parts.
On Friday, two new tracks were released, including a cover of Bob Dylan’s 1976 single Mozambique with Emmylou Harris, along with an accompanied music video featuring footage of the two stars singing live in the studio.
There are also clips of the Margaritaville star in a wetsuit holding his surfboard by the ocean.
This comes just weeks after three other new songs were released, including the first single Bubbles Up, along with on Like My Dog and My Gummie Just Kicked In, featuring the legendary Paul McCartney on bass.
Diagnosed with Merkel-cell carcinoma in 2019, a rare and aggressive skin cancer, Buffett continued to tour and write new songs that ultimately comprise the 14-song final album that was finished before his death at the age of 76 on September 1.

Along with Mozambique, the estate also shared the song University Of Bourbon Street, featuring Preservation Hall Jazz Band on Friday.
Buffett wrote 10 of the new tracks on the album by himself. He also co-wrote one of the first batch of three songs released in September, to go along with the three cover songs.
Angelique Kidjo, a Beninese–French singer–songwriter, actress, and activist noted for her diverse musical influences, also joins Buffett on the song Ti Punch Cafe.
At the time of his passing, Buffett released 31 studio albums, including eight that were certified gold and nine certified platinum or multiplatinum.
Among those records, the musician had a special group of hit songs that were dubbed as The Big 8, which included: Margaritaville (1977), Songs Of The Century (1974), Come Monday (1974), Fins (1979), Volcano (1979), A Pirate Looks At Forty (1974), Cheeseburger In Paradise (1978), Why Don’t We Get Drunk (1973) and Changes In Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes (1977).
The Pascagoula, Mississippi, native also had several other popular songs such as Son Of A Son Of A Sailor (1978), One Particular Harbour (1983) and It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere with Alan Jackson (2003), among others.
Named for the summery margarita, with lyrics reflecting a laid-back lifestyle in a tropical climate, Margaritaville has come to define Buffett’s music and career.
In all, Buffett sold over 20 million albums during his career that spanned nearly 60 years, beginning in 1964.
Known as being one of the world’s richest musicians, with a net worth of $1 billion, Buffett was also a best-selling author and an entrepreneur that parlayed the ‘island escapism’ lifestyle of his music into several business ventures, such as the Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville restaurant chain.
He also had ventures in hotels, casinos, liquor, and retirement communities, to go along with his devoted fan base, composed mostly of baby boomers, dubbed Parrotheads.
The new album, which was completed before his death on September 1, features 14 songs, 10 of which were written by Buffett by himself, over the course of the last few years after his cancer diagnosis; he is pictured on June 1978

The father of three entered into hospice care in August, four years after his cancer diagnosis, where he had a final meeting with family and friends.
He would die at his home in Sag Harbor, New York on September 1, surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs.
He lived his life like a song till the very last breath and will be missed beyond measure by so many,’ a statement from the family read in part.
Buffett’s posthumous album — Equal Strain On All Parts — is slated to drop on November 3, via Mailboat Records and Sun Records.
