Larry Emdur’s Gold Logie Win: The Talk of the Town

Larry Emdur appears to have changed his personality since his recent Logies win.

The 59-year-old presenter not only took home his first two Logie Awards at the ceremony earlier this month, he won the coveted Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television.

And on Thursday, the Channel Seven Morning Show host took to Instagram to show how his accolades have turned him into a ‘massive a***hole’.

In the video shared to the social media platform, Larry was backstage amid hosting his game show, The Chase, while showing off his dressing room.

‘People have asked me if things have changed for me since that crazy Logies thing last week. The answer is yes! I now have three change rooms,’ he boasted.

Larry revealed he has one room specifically for hair and makeup, another for wardrobe, and then a private room for him to do yoga and Pilates.

‘So, turns out, completely by accident, I’ve turned into a massive a***hole in the last week,’ he added.

In the comments, Morning Show co-host Kylie Gillies joked, ‘I see you discovered the script I wrote for you for this skit.’

Meanwhile, comedian Nikki Osborne also weighed in: ‘I think w**ker is a better term. We always knew you had it in you Larry and I’m thrilled you’ve finally got the wanker status you deserve.’

‘Welcome to TV,’ wrote I’m A Celebrity… host Julia Morris.

It comes as Larry was forced to make good on a bizarre promise the day after his Logie win, stripping off his pants on live breakfast TV and getting a tattoo on his backside.

Larry previously said that he was so confident he wouldn’t win the Gold Logie that he would have the other nominees tattooed on his buttocks if he did.

One the Morning Show, he found himself in a compromising position as he got the initials of other Gold Logie nominees etched permanently into his skin as co-host Kylie Gillies watched on.

With his pants pulled down over his behind, the tattooist, Zach Spiros from Bondi Ink, covered his nude lower body with a black towel.

‘You’ve got no idea the conversation we’ve just had. I’m sorry, 17 years and I’ve never seen him from this angle,’ Kylie, 57, said while laughing.

Larry said: ‘I can’t see what’s going on and Kylie comes over and says, “It’s too close to your crack.”‘

Kylie laughed, ‘I am living my best life… he’s actually shaking.’

Larry explained to viewers: ‘I said that if I won the Gold Logie, I was so confident I wasn’t going to win that I’d get the nominees initials tattooed on my bum.’

When the tattooist began to press the needle to Larry’s skin he struggled to explain what the artwork would look like, cracking jokes all the while.

‘I think I’m more worried about… where’s Zach’s thumb?’ he said at one point, moments later he added: ‘Is this what it’s like when they take you into that small room on Border Security? I think it is.’

Meanwhile, Kylie stood behind Larry, attempting to take videos and pictures of his bottom as it was getting tattooed.

‘Oh, Kylie, after 17 years this is where our relationship ends,’ Larry joked, calling her ‘pervy’ at one point as Kylie cackled.

The big reveal of Larry’s tattoo saw a line drawing of the Logie Award holding the TV, and within the TV were the letters ‘JM RI AK SK TA AL’.

The letters were the initials of the other Gold Logie nominees that Larry beat on Sunday night – Julia Morris, Robert Irwin, Asher Keddie, Sonia Kruger, Tony Armstrong, and Andy Lee.
