Larry Emdur Goes Rogue: Strips Down and Throws Food on The Morning Show, Shocking Kylie Gillies

Larry Emdur left co-star Kylie Gillies red-faced on Wednesday’s The Morning Show after going completely off-script during a cooking segment – stripping down and turning a simple breakfast into a cheeky spectacle.

The 60-year-old Channel Seven veteran and Kylie, 58, were joined by celebrity chef George Mirosevich, who offered to help them whip up a tasty chicken dish.

But Larry couldn’t resist turning the segment into his own playful performance.

Noticing that George had shed his black shirt in favour of a simple singlet, Larry followed suit – removing his blue blazer, rolling up the sleeves of his white dress shirt, and undoing a few buttons to avoid any culinary disasters.

Then came the cheeky antics, as Larry grabbed some broccolini and rubbed it on his chest, dancing around with it as Kylie looked on in horror.

‘Wait a minute! This is the sexy bit,’ he quipped, before pouring pineapple juice over the chicken while belting out Kasey Chambers’ hit song Not Pretty Enough.

‘Can I do sexy pineapple?’ Larry asked George, prompting Kylie to finally intervene.

‘Absolutely not!’ she snapped, leaving Larry and George in fits of laughter as the segment came to a close.

Larry and Kylie have developed a reputation for their hilarious banter on the popular breakfast show.

Earlier this year, the pair marked a significant milestone as they celebrated 18 years hosting The Morning Show.

The show premiered on the Seven Network on June 18, 2007.

Kylie took to Instagram to mark the occasion, sharing a heartfelt tribute to their journey since the show’s inception.

The TV veteran also shared photos with Larry and their longtime floor manager Tom.

‘Today marks 18 years of The Morning Show. Wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. Not even on a tropical Island sipping cocktail drinks with little umbrellas and hibiscus. Oh hang on… Jeez do we even work @larryedmur,’ she captioned the post.

‘Cheers to you my funny and fantastic Laz, our incredibly dedicated team and all of you who watch. And shout-out to our Floor Manager Tom. With us since day 1 in 2007 and still there,’ she continued.

Larry also celebrated the occasion with an Instagram post, saying: ‘Years of TV marriage, longer than most non-TV marriages.

‘Thanks for all the fun, the Kardashian chats, the laughs, and support @kyliegillies.’

‘Huge congrats to our perfect @morningshowon7 tribe. I love this show soooooo much. And of course thanks to all of you for keeping us number 1 in the ratings for these fantastic years,’ he added.
