Kylie Minogue is quietly working on a new dance album and plans to re-release her iconic No.1 record after collaborating with Joel Corry in Los Angeles.

Kylie Minogue is set to release new music sooner than fans expected after her hit Padam Padam relaunched her career last year.

The Australian singer, 55, is currently working on her 17th studio album which has been teased to be filled with mega dance tracks.

The pop star is also set to drop her No1 record Tension, which will include new tunes as well.

A source told The Sun: ‘Kylie has made it clear to her team this is no time to slow down. Plans are already in motion for the next two albums, one of which will be a repackage of Tension with additional songs.

‘As for the direction of album 17 it’s early days — but a full-on dance album is in the works.

‘The plan is to release the Tension repackage towards the end of the year, with probably up to five new tracks.’

MailOnline have contacted Kylie’s representatives for comment.

Last month, Kylie hit the studio in California with chart-topping British DJ Joel Corry, who previously gushed it would ‘be an honour’ to work with the Spinning Around songstress.

He said: ‘Kylie absolutely smashed it last year. She has taken over the charts. I’ve loved the sound of the singles. They sound really fresh and current. She is pop royalty. It would be an honour to work with her.’

Sharing a photo of the duo in the studio, Joel teased: ‘Been in LA writing BANGERS all week!! Lucky to work with some very special people Heading back on tour with fresh fireee to test’.

Kylie has been enjoying some downtime from her Las Vegas residency as she landed in Sydney last week.

She has a month off from her busy residency schedule before she will return stateside to take to the stage once again on April 26.

The songstress looked as glamorous as ever as she shared a stunning snap from her stay at the Crown Sydney on Thursday.

She took to Instagram to post an elegant snap of herself lounging in the five-star Barangaroo hotel, which frequently attracts A-list guests.

She put on a dazzling display in a strapless black gown with glitzy silver tasseled detailing and a daring side split which showed off her toned legs.

The Padam Padam hitmaker gave herself a few extra inches in a pair of jewelled strapped heels and let her bombshell outfit do all the talking.

The stunning city views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House could be seen in the background as Kylie made the most of her time Down Under.

She also shared a video to her Instagram Stories of herself strutting her stuff in her gorgeous outfit as she gave an insight into her stay at the Crown.

Showing off her lavish suite, Kylie said: ‘Do you want to see the view?’ before panning the camera around to show off the nighttime city views.

She added: ‘Thank you Sydney, absolutely beautiful!’

Her visit to Australia comes after Kylie broke her silence on the shock cancellation of iconic festival Splendour In The Grass.

She was set to headline the long-running music festival at the North Byron Parklands in July, but organisers announced it had been scrapped on Wednesday.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday evening, the pop star shared her devastation as she reacted to the news.

She wrote: ‘SITG, this must have been a difficult decision,’ alongside a crying emoji.

‘I was so looking forward to being there and all of us having the best time. Oz, I’m looking forward, now more than ever, to be home and playing shows for you.’

It is the latest in a long line of Aussie music festivals to have been axed, after Groovin the Moo was forced to cancel just two months before it was set to kick off.

Kylie is reportedly set to tour Australia in 2024, although specific dates have not yet been announced.
