Kylie Jenner is entering her acting era.
The reality star, 28, has joined the cast of Charli XCX’s new film The Moment, an A24 movie ‘based on an original idea’ by the Boom Clap songstress.
The venture marks Jenner’s first acting role and means she is now following in the footsteps of her Oscar-nominated boyfriend Timothee Chalamet and her sister Kim Kardashian, who also pivoted into acting in recent years.
The casting was confirmed in a teaser for The Moment in which the entire cast – which includes Alexander Skarsgard and Rosanna Arquette – flashed on screen via intense strobe lights.
Jenner’s full name blared in bold red font against a neon green backdrop, and fans wasted no time reacting to the surprise career move.

One was perplexed by the casting: ‘I nearly got blind watching this, what the heck is Kylie Jenner doing there,’ one said.
However, not everyone was disappointed by the casting.

The star-studded cast also features Kate Berlant, Rachel Sennott, Hailey Benton Gates and more and follows ‘the complexities of fame and industry pressure while preparing for her arena tour debut,’ according to a synopsis, Variety reports.
Jenner took to her Instagram Stories after the news dropped, sharing the trailer, an article about the movie, and a photo of her with Charli.
Perhaps Jenner was inspired by her big sister Kardashian – who has since ventured into acting and will soon be starring in the upcoming show All’s Fair – to go in front of the camera, or her Academy Award nominated boyfriend Timothee Chalamet.
Jenner and Chalamet have not been seen together recently due to the latter’s demanding work schedule but last week they were spotted together for the first time in two months after she jetted from Paris to New York City to support her man at The New York Film Festival.
His forthcoming movie Marty Supreme premiered at the event, and the longtime couple was spotted backstage.

The actor has been spending his time in Budapest, where he’s filming Dune: Part Three.
In August the lovebirds were spotted in a coffee shop in the city, where starstruck fans snapped a photo with them.
The sighting came shortly after Daily Mail reported that the mother-of-two ‘secretly jets off to see him when she can.’
A source dished, ‘She helps him out as much as she can, like gives him space to work and has her private jet on standby in case he needs to go somewhere fast.’
She has been dating Chalamet since early 2023, and the duo has kept their romance as private as possible.
Despite never posting each other on social media — as the Call Me By Your Name star wants to be taken seriously in his work — the two have attended multiple awards shows together.

‘Timothée went out of his way to make her feel special on her birthday,’ a source told Us Weekly.
It was added that he ‘sent gifts, they had a FaceTime call and he coordinated meaningful gestures with Kylie’s friends that made her feel very special.’

‘He’s been fully integrated into her life,’ the source said, adding that ‘everything is going really well’ between them.
‘They’re in a really good place,’ another source noted. ‘He makes her feel calm and confident — it’s a different relationship from what she’s had in the past.
