Shock jock Kyle Sandilands has fired another shot in the breakfast radio wars now raging in the Melbourne market.

The 52-year-old KIIS FM star has mocked Fox FM for reputedly paying U.S. celebrity Caitlyn Jenner an eye-watering sum to appear on the Fifi, Fev and Nick Show.

‘I wouldn’t have spent US$30,000 ($45,000 AU), which I know is what they paid, to get Caitlyn Jenner on for 12 minutes,’ Sandilands claimed on Tuesday.

‘Who gives a sh** about Caitlyn Jenner… Like, is that really worth it?

‘I think I’d rather have [on] the girl who thinks she’s a dog, that’s more fascinating to me than Caitlyn Jenner.’

That was the same day Fox FM’s Fifi, Fev and Nick broadcast their exclusive chat with Caitlyn Jenner.

Elsewhere in his podcast chat Kyle slammed Fox FM for trying to do the kind of ‘edgy’ material that the Kyle and Jackie O Show is famous for.

‘I said, ”did they ask where Caitlin’s penis is? Is it still on? Has she got it in a bottle? Did she donate it?” And they were like, ”oh no, it was all very clean”.

‘I said, ”what’s the point of having Caitlin Jenner on then?”.’

Meanwhile, the Kyle and Jackie O Show hit Victorian airwaves in typical style for their first show.

The famed on-air partners who have been co-hosts of The Kyle and Jackie O Show for more than two decades, signed a record-breaking $200million 10-year contract last year that guaranteed them an entry into the Melbourne market.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, the radio stars expressed no concerns about winning over Melbourne audiences ahead of their highly-anticipated debut.

‘I don’t really think it’ll be an issue at all. I hope they embrace us quickly. But Jackie feels it might be more of a slow burn, but she’s always on the more cautious side of life,’ Sandilands said.

They also shut down recent reports of the show ramping up censorship ahead of the interstate move, revealing their secret weapon to winning over listeners is to keep doing what they’re doing.

‘The law is the law. Whether it’s here, or in Melbourne, it’s the same broadcast laws,’ he said.

‘Every radio show can do what we do. They just don’t have the balls to do it… We’d rather be more real so people can communicate and gravitate towards someone on the show that has the same opinion as them.’
