Kyle Sandilands has taken aim at a Melbourne podcasting duo after they discussed a rumour he was ‘faking’ his brain aneurysm as a ‘publicity stunt’.
Last week Melbourne Radio Wars hosts Wade Kingsley and Craig Bruce weighed in on Sandilands’ recent health diagnosis, and suggested his ‘management may be taking advantage of the situation for publicity’.
‘I can’t believe this would be true, but a rumour has got to me this week that Kyle is actually faking his brain aneurysm,’ said Kingsley.
‘Surely there’s no possibility they’ve set this up as a stunt, is there?’
Sandilands, 53, quickly shut down the rumours – leading MRW co-host Craig Bruce to apologise for discussing his health on air.
‘I’ve been thinking about it all week. We shouldn’t be speculating about Kyle’s health on this podcast. To that end, I want to apologise to Kyle,’ he said.

He continued: ‘I can only imagine the stress he must be under right now and we don’t want to contribute to it in any way, shape or form.
‘This is a sincere apology, if we caused you any hurt or discomfort when you heard that content, we apologise.’
Sandilands played Bruce’s apology on-air on Monday morning and had some choice words for the presenter.
‘I think you were [trying to spread misinformation]. And where’s Wade [Kingsley]? Bruce has nothing to apologise for, Wade was the one who brought it up!’ Kyle told listeners.
‘I’m challenging Wade… Did you really hear a “rumour” or did you start a rumour? Where was Wade in this podcast?’
Sandilands added he was rejecting their acknowledgement until he felt it was genuine: ‘Apology not accepted! It needs to come from the right person!’
Last week, Sandilands hit back at rumours he was faking his brain aneurysm.
The radio titan gave his fans a health update on his KIIS FM radio show, speaking to concerns that were raised over his ’emergency surgery’ being delayed and chatter that he was ‘faking the whole thing’.
‘That I haven’t had the emergency surgery isn’t a surprise to anyone who listens to the show properly because I’ve gone to the surgeon and it’s a strange shape,’ he said.

‘It’s attached to many different arteries or vessels or whatever they are called so it’s not a simple thing to get to,’ Kylie continued.
‘I’ve made it quite clear to journalists and on the show that it’s more dangerous to go in and get it out right now’.
Kyle said that instead of surgery, his doctors will ‘keep monitoring’ the issue and check his status again in six months.
Earlier this month, the media personality revealed to listeners he had been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm.
Fans of the radio star have expressed their support and well wishes since his admission.
‘On Friday, I was told by my medical team – which sounds like I’m already very sick, that I have a brain aneurysm. It requires immediate attention, brain surgery,’ he said at the time.
The presenter then explained his condition on air: ‘It’s not a blockage. It’s like, imagine your blood vessel is the garden hose, and the hose is weak and it blisters out like a big bubble, like a puncture in it.
‘It’s like a bike tyre with a big bubble – that bubble’s the aneurysm, so it’s not blocked. It’s expanded and if it bursts, [I will become] either a vegetable, in the wheelchair… or dead.’
He revealed his doctor had banned him from doing cocaine, masturbating, heavy lifting and becoming stressed.
