But with Tuesday's news that the pair's partnership is kaput and their KIIS FM breakfast show in tatters, the future is uncertain.
Jackie, who has been offered a new show, may rebrand away from her co-star's outrageous antics, which have seen their program repeatedly pulled off the air.

Lie detector furore
In August 2009, a 14-year-old girl became emotional during a lie detector segment on the pair's breakfast radio show, which at that time was broadcast on 2Day FM, and reluctantly admitted she had been raped when she was 12 years old.
Kyle then replied: 'Right... is that the only [sexual] experience you've had?'
At that moment, Jackie swiftly cut off the segment and announced the hosts and producers had no prior knowledge of the rape.
It was too little too late, however, and the segment became a major news story.

Even 2DayFM advertiser Optus announced it was appalled by the incident.
Amid the backlash, Network Ten confirmed that Kyle had been axed from the judging panel of Australian Idol.
Later speaking to 60 Minutes, the shock jock was unrepentant over the scandal, which saw his popular radio program taken off the air for two weeks.
When asked by 60 Minutes reporter if he and Jackie, 'had any regrets about that,' Kyle swiftly answered that he did not.
'None. Well, we did nothing,' he replied simply to the question.
Jackie was more repentant, saying for her part, 'I think lesson learned was about what is going too far. I wasn't a mother back then.

'There's no way I would do that now. If someone suggested that as a segment, I would know, no, we're not putting a young girl on a lie-detector test.'
Kyle was invited back to Australian Idol in 2023, and remains a judge to this day.

Sandilands suggested the actress could lose weight if she was in a concentration camp.
'You put her in a concentration camp and you watch the weight fall, like she could be skinny,' he said.
Sandilands later said his remarks about concentration camps were taken out of context at the time and he is disgusted with the way he was treated afterwards.
During an interview with producers Matt Simpson and Bruno Bouchet on their segment The Probe, the radio presenter couldn't resist the opportunity to .
He explained: 'When I was suspended I had to sit in front of some little panel of board members and production programmers. They were quite down on me about it.
'I never said it with any intention of malice. Like I was never trying to attack the Jewish community and then when Stereo started to believe the twisted story.

'That's when I was like, "Hang on guys, you encouraged, paid me and rewarded me for all these years to do what I do and the first sign of something wrong you turn against me."
'"You dogs," I said, "You're just all dogs." They all just lined up to turn on me and I just thought, wow you people you helped create this and then you just want to turn your back on someone,' he added.

Sexist spray breaches standards
Sandilands faced the wrath of advertisers in 2011 when he launched a tirade against journalist Alison Stephenson, after she had written a negative review of his TV show A Night with the Stars.
'Some fat sl*g on news.com.au has already branded it a disaster. You can tell by reading the article that she just hates us and has always hated us,' Sandilands said.

'What a fat, bitter thing you are. You're deputy editor of an online thing. You've got a nothing job anyway. You're a piece of s**t,' he ranted on.
'This low thing, Alison Stephenson, deputy editor of news.com.au online. You're supposed to be impartial, you little troll.
'You're a bulls**t artist, girl. You should be fired from your job. Your hair is very '90s. And your blouse. You haven't got that much t**ty to be having that low cut a blouse. Watch your mouth or I'll hunt you down.'
The spray sparked widespread backlash, with advertisers including Holden, Telstra, and Harvey Norman pulling their ads from the show.
Sandilands was also investigated by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) who found he had breached decency standards.

Virgin Mary offense sparks protests, death threats and a lawsuit
Sandilands was sued two years after making offensive comments about the Virgin Mary on his KIIS FM breakfast show.
On September 18, 2019, Sandilands offended thousands of listeners by saying the Virgin Mary wasn't actually a virgin at all.
'I thought Mary was his [Jesus Christ's] girlfriend but apparently it was the mother,' he said on air.
'And the mother lied obviously and told everyone, "Nah I got pregnant by a magical ghost." Bulls**t.

'Someone chock-a-blocked her behind the camel shed. You might believe everything that's written down 2,000 years ago to be absolutely accurate and good on you, you're dumb. Dumb as dog s**t.'
After his comments went viral on social media, dozens of Christian and Muslim demonstrators gathered at KIIS FM's North Ryde studios to demand an apology for the 'ghastly' joke.
Sandilands issued a heartfelt apology for his joke, telling listeners he deeply regretted what he'd said.
Sandilands added that he 'only wanted to make people laugh' and emphasised that his joke was 'not planned' in any way. Protestors are pictured outside the studio
'I didn't realise the gravity of it. I upset a lot of people,' he said.
'Even friends of mine were like, "Bro, how could you say something so dumb like that?"'

Sandilands added that he 'only wanted to make people laugh' and emphasised that his joke was 'not planned' in any way.
He confessed that the worst part of the whole experience was that people close to him had received death threats over what he'd said.
But he made it clear to naysayers he wouldn't be quitting his job over it.
'I am going to quit? No. Am I going to get fired? No. Am I sorry? Absolutely I am sorry because, as I've said, I never intended to purposely upset anyone,' he said.
'Obviously I have upset people and I am sorry for it. There is nothing else I can do. We have all made mistakes in our life and this is just one of the many I have made.'
In 2021, Khalil Farah, a member of the Maronite Catholic Church who lives in Canberra, sought damages for religious discrimination.

Farah alleged Sandilands made a 'number of derogatory, derisive and offensive comments directed at biblical miracles, the fidelity and honesty of the Virgin Mary and the intelligence and gullibility of people of the Christian faith'.
Sandilands quietly settled the court case.

Mushroom murder quip ends in risk of jail time
Sandilands and Henderson faced the possibility of jail time after they were accused of contempt of court over comments made during 's triple-murder trial in 2025.
The KIIS FM breakfast show hosts were referred to the Victorian Office of Public Prosecutions on June 16 after Sandilands made on-air comments about the case, including 'just lock that b**** up'.

At the time, Justice Christopher Beale encouraged commentators to 'engage their brains before they open their mouths', warning they could land themselves in hot water.
But the Victorian Director of Public Prosecutions confirmed the radio duo would not be charged with contempt of court.
'It has been determined that in all the circumstances none of the incidents had a clear tendency... to prejudice the fair trial of Ms Patterson on the charges against her,' the statement read.
'It is considered that the required elements of contempt could not be proved beyond reasonable doubt and there are no reasonable prospects of conviction for the referred incidents.'
However, it was revealed on the same day that Kyle and Jackie O's show could be hit with restrictions by the broadcasting watchdog over unconnected breaches of guidelines, including airing an audio clip of staff members urinating.
Patterson was in July found guilty of murdering her former in-laws Don and Gail Patterson, 70, and Gail's sister Heather Wilkinson, 66.
