Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are expressing their shock and surprise at the cancellation of their HBOMAX show And Just Like That.

Sarah Jessica Parker and former co-star Kim Cattrall have already responded to the cancellation, announced by showrunner Michael Patrick King on Friday. 

In her response, Davis, 60, shared her dismay on social media Friday, sharing King’s announcement. ‘I am profoundly sad. I love our whole beautiful cast and crew. 400 artisans working so hard on our show with deep love,’ she wrote.

‘And to our loyal fans, we love you forever and ever. ❤️’

After seeing her followers’ reactions to the sad news, Davis added another message telling them, ‘Thank you to you all !!! You hold me up and i do not take it for granted !!!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️’

‘I can’t believe our wild beautiful And Just Like That ride is almost over. It has been such a delight from start to finish,’ she said. 

Referring to the photos of cast, crew and special guests, she continued. ‘I will miss working with these people everyday SO incredibly much but know we will always be a part of each other’s lives. Get ready for a lot more carousels in the weeks to come!’

Then,  dropping a hint about how things will be wrapped up she said, ‘And don’t miss these last few episodes: surprises in store!’

Nicole Ari Parker, 54, who joined the Sex and the City spin-off in 2021, shared her own carousel of snaps and spoke of her gratitude for the experience.

‘An Honor and a Joy to be a part of this iconic family. ❤️’ thanking King, executive producer Susan Fales-Hill, Parker, Nixon and Davis ‘and the extraordinary writers and producers’ of the show.  

‘From the first day to the last…it has been Just Like That…Amazing.’

Parker portrayed award-winning documentary filmmaker Lisa Todd Wexley, who was introduced to the show as a friend of Davis’ Charlotte.  

She then sent a message to her ‘TV hubs,  the magnificent,’ Christopher Jackson, writing, ‘there are not enough words to describe the Epic amounts of Sidebars Laughter and Shenanigans we shared.’

In his statement King explained the decision writing, ‘While I was writing the last episode of season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop.’

He said after discussing the idea with Parker and other execs they decided ‘to end the popular series this year with a two-part finale and extended the original series order from 10 episodes to 12.’
