When free-spirited Ricky (Michael) suddenly reappears in father-to-be Glenn’s (Michael Cera) life, the two former best friends embark on a spontaneous road trip from LA to Sacramento.
Kristen plays the character of Rosie in the comedy flick, who is the pregnant wife of Glenn.
Kristen originally met ex Michael while co-starring in Jessica Sharzer’s high school drama Speak, and they dated for six years until 2009 when she moved on with her Twilight leading man Robert Pattinson.
This outing is one of the the first times Kristen has debuted her bold new look on a red carpet, after dyeing it back in January.
It comes after Kristen has been hard at work on the Los Angeles set of her fiancée Dylan Meyer’s feature directorial debut The Wrong Girls.
Compared to her off-screen grunge style, Kristen ooked surprisingly polished in a chic black jacket, matching mini-skirt, dark stockings, and lace-up boots selected by costume designer Heidi Bivens.
Hair department head Vanessa Price coiffed Kristen’s newly platinum-blonde locks into a fringe-fronted ponytail so she could better embody her stoner character Frankie in the mistaken identity Neon drama.
The 37-year-old nepo-baby of Oscar-nominated screenwriter Nicholas Meyer spent ’13 years’ honing the script for The Wrong Girls – which also features Alia Shawkat, Seth Rogen, Kumail Nanjiani, LaKeith Stanfield, and Tony Hale.
‘If I couldn’t share with [Dylan] and make with her and collaborate with her I would do it with other people and we wouldn’t be as close,’ Kristen confessed on The Late Show last year.

‘I need to have that [in a relationship]. And she is so much better and smarter and cooler and hotter than me.’
‘The day that I met her, it was like all bets were off,’ the Spencer actress previously said during a different appearance on The Howard Stern Show.
The couple got engaged on November 2, 2021, but have yet to tie the knot.
Though details on the proposal have not been made public, Kirsten previously revealed that the screenwriter popped the question.
‘She nailed it,’ she told Stern about the proposal. ‘It was really cute.’
Back in February, the Underwater star got candid about their relationship and explained how she knew Meyer was the one.
‘I found the right person because I can be so obsessive about what I do. And luckily my girlfriend, my partner, we are into the same sh*t,’ she shared.
‘We have taken the things that we’re spending our time on and interlocked them, and we’re so much f**king smarter and stronger together. And you’re just like, ‘F**k’, that is the best.’
Later in the interview, she explained that they bonded over growing up in Los Angeles and their similar personalities.
