Kristen Doute of Vanderpump Rules fame has said she believes her former best friend Jo Wenberg, who had a fling with Tom Schwartz, used her to appear on the popular Bravo TV series.
On the latest episode of her podcast Sex, Love and What Else Matters, the 40-year-old reality star opened up about their friendship.
‘For you listeners out there that don’t know, Jo was one of my best friends. When I say best friend, I don’t mean that lightly,’ she began.
Doute emphasized, ‘This girl was my everyday ride-or-die, [and] we literally hung out all the time. Like, six days a week. We stopped talking right around the time she started talking to Tom.’
The timeline of events is what made her doubt Wenberg’s sincerity.

Kristen suspects Wenberg, who had a fling with Tom Schwartz, used her to get on the show
Kristen’s boyfriend Luke Broderick backed up her claims.
He shared with listeners: ‘The first time I came to LA to see Kristen, Jo was the very first person I met.
‘We went to get lunch and she was talking about moving out of her place [in July 2022]. I didn’t see her again until we crossed paths at TomTom basically the same night Scandoval happened [in March 2023].’
Luke added Kristen had a hunch that Jo was not speaking to her on purpose, noting, ‘Kristen was telling me, “She’s not responding and she’s ghosting me.”‘
Jo was introduced to the Vanderpump Rules audience when Schwartz referred to her as his roommate in season ten.
Earlier this year, Tom’s ex-wife Katie Maloney provided more information when she made disparaging remarks about Wenberg in a comment shared on an Instagram fan account.
On a post theorizing that Schwartz hooked up with Raquel Leviss, 28, to hide a romance with Jo, and to cover up Raquel’s affair with Tom Sandoval, Maloney held nothing back.
She began her statement by writing, ‘Jo is spooky. I mean none of us could stand to be around her.’
Katie continued ripping into Jo, who Tom denied being romantically involved with, as she added, ‘Her energy is on par with a crackhead.’

Maloney went on to say plainly, ‘When Tom and I announced our divorce almost a year ago the last thing [Jo texted] me was “Bieber loves you / I love you, and I’m so supporting of your inner thoughts and visions / live in the moment, you’re a gem and I’ve always respected you. I love you. Xo Jo.”
‘She is a psycho and I will also light her on fire with Rachel.’
The bit about lighting ‘her on fire’ piggybacked off a comment Katie had made while appearing on Watch What Happens Live.
When host Andy Cohen asked what would be her reaction if she found out that Schwartz knew about Raquel and Tom hooking up but lied to protect Sandoval, she replied: ‘I would light him on fire.’
Although Tom initially denied having a romantic relationship with Jo, it was later revealed that they had hooked up.
