Krishnan Guru-Murthy broke down in tears during Monday’s episode Strictly Come Dancing spinoff It Takes Two following his departure from the competition.
The newsreader, 53, and his professional partner Lauren Oakley ended in the dreaded dance off at the weekend after landing at the bottom of the leaderboard.
Krishnan faced Angela Rippon and her dance partner Kai Widdrington as both stars tried to impress the judges one final time – with Angela being saved by the judges.
Joining host Fleur East, the duo reminisced about their time on the show and discussed their final perfromance.
Tearfully, Krishnan admitted: ‘It’s been life changing, it genuinely has. No one will miss this show as much as I will.’

Fleur passed the tissues as the newsreader and Lauren wiped away their tears, as e continued: ‘I went into it with a different mindset because I was aware that it might be my last dance so I really wanted to enjoy it.
‘I wasn’t just about the perfromance I was in a slightly different headspace than normal. I wanted to remember it as our last dance, if it was to be our last dance.’
It comes after Strictly Come Dancing fans have once again accused the show of being a ‘fix’ after Krishnan was sent home on Sunday night.
Performing first in the dance off they danced the Samba to Bamboléo by Gipsy Kings, before Angela danced a Paso Doble to Hung Up by Madonna.
After both couples took to the floor for a second time judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke all opted to save Angela.
Angela and Kai won the majority vote keeping them in the competition, but head judge Shirley Ballas said she would have decided to save Krishnan and Lauren.
Craig said: ‘Well Krishnan you really upped your game in that dance off, it was magnificent. Angela you nearly lost your supporting leg darling in the kick but you saved it, miraculously.
‘But the couple that I would like to save and go through to Blackpool is Angela and Kai.’

Not happy: But viewers at home fumed at the decision and accused the show of ‘favouritism’ towards Angela
While Shirley said: ‘Well I picked the person that I felt was more grounded on their feet without any technical errors and I would have saved Krishnan & Lauren.’
But viewers at home fumed at the decision and accused the show of ‘favouritism’ towards Angela, arguing that her slip up should have sent her home, but that bosses wanted to ensure the TV presenter made it to Blackpool next week.
One person tweeted: ‘sorry this is such a fix. how can you say “angela, you literally almost fell over. krishnan you were significantly better but i’m still gonna save angela?” this is such a fix. never agreed with shirley before wtf is going on’.
Another echoed: ‘At this point I feel like Angela could have stood there for the whole song and she would have still made it through. For once I agree with Shirley, Krishnan was better.’
