Kris Jenner is still struggling to come to terms with Caitlyn Jenner’s transition eight years later – and feels as though her ex has died, a source has claimed.
During a recent interview on British daytime program This Morning, Caitlyn, 73, revealed the ‘sad’ truth that she no longer has anything to do with the famous momager, 67, despite having been married for 22 years and sharing daughters Kendall, 27, and Kylie, 26.
While the Olympic gold medalist’s remarks were said to have caused ‘some family drama’ between the Kardashian-Jenner clan, a source close to the pair has shed light on her reasons for their rift, claiming that the exes no longer have anything in common aside from a lack of desire to ‘fix’ their broken relationship.
The insider exclusively added to DailyMail.com that Kris believes Caitlyn to be a ‘completely different person’ to the one she married in 1991 and that despite once sharing a life together, they would now have trouble maintaining a conversation without it becoming awkward.

‘The key issue between Caitlyn and Kris is baggage,’ the insider claimed. ‘As much as Bruce was hard to handle, Caitlyn seems to be even more of a loose cannon and it’s mostly because Caitlyn is her true self and there isn’t much of the Bruce that Kris knew and loved anymore within Caitlyn.
‘Kris is still trying to deal with the transition. A man she fell in love with, and had kids with is no longer around, it is as if he is dead, and she already has one dead husband to deal with and all those emotions, it is easier to separate from it than to meet it head-on.
‘Caitlyn is a completely different person. Their kids are also older and are now adults, so they don’t really have to talk to each other anymore.
‘Everyone has their own lives and is doing their own thing, so it’s rare that everyone gets together or talks, it is just more of a hassle than anything else.’
The insider continued: ‘It’s got to the point where they really don’t have anything to talk about. If they got together for lunch or something, they’d probably only talk about the weather, or it would be as awkward as being in an elevator with a bunch of people and everyone avoiding eye contact.
‘This is the life they are both choosing to live, and it won’t change. They are only going to really deal with each other when they have to, they aren’t going to go out of their way to fix it.’
Kris’s first marriage was to lawyer Robert Kardashian, with whom she has daughters Kourtney, 44, Kim, 42, Khloé, 39, and son Rob, 36.
They divorced in March 1991 but remained close friends until his death from esophageal cancer in 2003.

Kris then went on to marry Bruce, now Caitlyn, in 1991, with the former couple enjoying 22 years together before they divorced in December 2014.
Caitlyn came out as a transgender woman in April 2015, with a cover spread in Vanity Fair telling readers to ‘Call me Caitlyn’.
Speaking on This Morning ahead of the release of her three-part tell-all series House Of Kardashian, Caitlyn said her relationship with Kris was non-existent.
‘Well Kris, I really never talk to anymore,’ she said. ‘Yeah, it’s sad.
‘If there’s any communication, my manager kind of talks to her and when you have as many kids as I have, you’re closer to some than you are to others… I certainly see them, and we do this and that.
‘I’m much closer to the Jenner side, but Kris, I don’t really have any more contact with her. It’s kind of sad because we went through a lot.’
Caitlyn went on to recall her first meeting with Kris: ‘I had been single for six years, and really kind of struggling with myself and who I was and how I fit into the world.
‘I was just turning 40 and met Kris on a blind date, we hit it off from day one. Was it love at first sight? Pretty close to that, yes.
An insider claimed that neither Kris nor Caitlyn will be going out of their way to ‘fix’ their rift

‘I was totally impressed with her and how she lived her life – she had four kids, I had four kids… and we got married five and a half months later! It was very quick.’
Her new documentary series will feature unseen archival footage and first-hand testimony from the family’s inner circle.
As one of the most famous families in the world, the program, produced by 72 Films, explores their family dynamics, scandals, controversial business deals and personal struggles.
Tensions between the exes first arose in 2017, as newly-transitioned Caitlyn came out with her memoir, The Secrets Of My Life, which included a warts-and-all depiction of Kris and their marriage.
‘I tell Kris about my gender issues before I make love to her,’ Caitlyn insisted in the book, despite Kris publicly denying some claims.
‘This will always be a subject of dispute between Kris and me as to how much she could intuit about my gender issues. She insists that she was taken by surprise by my ultimate transition to Caitlyn,’ the author continued.
‘I told her I dressed as a woman, and she knew I did, because I did it several times in front of her after we were married.’
