Kourtney Kardashian’s Lemme Brand Fights Hong Kong Cigarette Company in Legal Dispute

Kourtney Kardashian’s Lemme Brand Fights Hong Kong Cigarette Company in Legal Dispute

Kourtney Kardashian’s Lemme brand has become a successful multimillion dollar company… and she’s making sure no one gets in the way of its growing empire.

Lemme, a vitamin and supplement line developed by the reality star, is in a legal war with another brand, also called Lemme, which is headquartered in Hong Kong but sells its products in the United States.

Both brands have filed applications for trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and now, Kardashian’s legal team is going after the other Lemme, which is mainly a cigarette and e-cigarette supplier based in China.

According to legal documents obtained exclusively by the Daily Mail, Lemme filed an opposition to Hong Kong Senran Technology Company’s Lemme trademark application, claiming ‘priority and likelihood of confusion’ and ‘dilution by blurring’ are grounds for opposition.

The goods and services that Lemme is opposing include cigarettes, cigarette filters, cigarettes containing tobacco substitutes, electronic cigarette atomizers, electronic cigarettes and liquid nicotine solutions for use in electronic cigarettes.

The documents, which were filed September 10, state that ‘consumers have come to recognize LEMME as identifying the source of high-quality vitamins and vitamin supplements that originate from Opposer [Kardashian’s brand].’

Given this, they claim the Hong Kong Lemme’s mark is ‘identical and/or confusingly similar to each of the Lemme Marks in appearance, sound, connotation, and commercial impression,’ referring to the various trademarks filed by Lemme, including Lemme Purr and Lemme Mama.

They further claim, ‘Any dissatisfaction with [Lemme Hong Kong] goods will reflect upon and irreparably damage the reputation and goodwill of [Kardashian’s Lemme] as embodied in the LEMME Marks.’

In addition to the ‘likelihood of confusion’ claim, the gummy brand claims that the other Lemme is ‘likely to cause dilution by blurring and tarnishment of Opposer’s famous mark LEMME in violation of the anti-dilution provisions’.

On November 10, Hong Kong Senran Technology Company filed its response to Kardashian’s Lemme’s opposition, as seen in legal documents obtained by the Daily Mail.

The company denies that Kardashian’s Lemme ‘has been or will be damaged’ by the application of their trademark and denies all of the other claims.

‘Opposer’s dilution claims fail as a matter of law because [Kardashian’s Lemme] has not established its marks are famous to the general public of the United States, as required under the Lanham Act.

‘At most, Opposer’s marks have achieved recognition within the vitamin industry, which is insufficient to support claims of dilution – particularly in connection with goods in the cigarette products industry, where no such fame has been demonstrated,’ the company writes.

The Hong Kong company goes on to state, ‘There is no likelihood of confusion between Opposer’s marks with Applicant’s Application due to the significant differences in the respective goods and their respective channels of trade of each party, and the absence of any relatedness of the parties’ goods.’

The deadline for the discovery conference is set for December 10 followed by an initial disclosures deadline of January 9, 2026.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Lemme Inc.’s and Hong Kong Senran Technology Co.’s attorneys for comment.

This isn’t the first time Lemme has been involved in a lawsuit. Earlier this year, Kardashian’s Lemme Inc. was sued by a woman named Christina Robins, who claimed the GLP-1 gummies engaged in false advertising.

The California resident filed in her home state as well as in a federal court in New York, which was a purported class action lawsuit.

The New York lawsuit was dismissed because it lacked jurisdiction and the California lawsuit remains ongoing as Lemme’s team continues to fight back.

The parties have yet to reach an agreement resolving the objections raised in Lemme’s demurrer. Lemme’s lawyers are claiming Robins ‘fails to allege facts sufficient to constitute a cause of action.’ They have a status conference hearing scheduled in December regarding the defendant’s demurrer.

Lemme Inc. filed its trademark in November 2021 and launched in September 2022 with three flavors of gummies – Lemme Matcha, Lemme Focus and Lemme Chill – all of which are vegan, gluten-free and non-GMO.

The line has since expanded to a variety of gummies, including Lemme Purr, vaginal probiotic gummies, Lemme Sleep, sleep tight gummies, Lemme Debloat, daily digestive gummies, and Lemme Glow, hair, skin and nails gummies.

Per revenue reports from April, Lemme Inc’s total earnings are around $61 million over the last six months from its e-commerce business.

According to a new trademark filing from March, it appears the Poosh founder will be launching a Lemme V-Tox version, a detox line of vitamins and supplements.

In October, Travis Barker’s wife launched new lollipops to promote vaginal health. The Lemme Purr Probiotic Lollipop is infused with Vitamin C, pineapple and the SNZ 1969 probiotics and has been dubbed the first-of-its-kind women’s health probiotic lollipop.

Earlier this month, Kardashian enlisted help from her sister Kim to star with her in a new campaign announcing a new addition to her Lemme line, Lemme Colostrum.

The gummies, along with the Lemme Colostrum Liquid, are advertised to help support gut health and are made with colostrum, which is inspired by human breast milk, and vitamin D3, along with other ingredients.
