Kim Kardashian on North’s Reaction to Backlash Over Fake Tattoos

Kim Kardashian talked about her daughter North West on the Wednesday episode of Complex’s GOAT Talk YouTube series.

The 45-year-old TV icon was touching on how her eldest child with ex-husband Kanye West was seen recently with several tattoos and piercings.

The 12-year-old child also had grillz and blue contact lenses that made her look very different as she added bright blue highlights in her braids.

The image shocked fans as they thought the work was real, but it wasn’t – all of her add-ons were fake.

Still, the child was slammed for the move and parents asked Kim how she could let her tween do this.

Now the SKIMS founder has discussed North’s reaction to the tense hullabaloo.

Kim said North was confused over the hate. ‘She was like, ‘I don’t get it. It’s a Halloween costume. It’s all fake,” Kim recalled.

The All’s Fair actress also said it was North – not her – who wrote the comment online, ‘This is such a non-issue.’

‘She takes my phone, and she writes back to a comment, and she goes, “This is such a non-issue.” Then online, it was like, “Kim defends North to the end on this look,”‘ Kim said adding, ‘That’s a good clapback.’

While appearing on the Complex’s GOAT Talk series The Kardashians star offered her two cents over the harsh judgment.

The beauty said the comments from trolls was ‘horrible’ and ‘disturbing.’

‘North, if she ever posts a TikTok, it’s on my phone, so she has to ask my approval, and then I post it, whatever,’ Kim explained. ‘The comments, all that’s on my phone.

‘So her and her girlfriends, they love doing costumes, they love doing looks, and so, it’s Halloween season, so they put on fake tattoos on their face, fake piercings, they all had their colored hair,’ she continued.

‘They looked like an opium Powerpuff Girls … [that’s] what they were going for.’

In addition to North, Kim also shares Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, and Psalm, six, with her ex-husband Kanye West.

North had large, star-shaped black ink underneath her right eye and scripture under her left one in the heavily criticized social media post.

The tween also showed off dramatic false eyelashes, a glittery blue manicure, and a henna tattoo all over her hand.

She wore an oversized black T-shirt, long shorts, and black and white Rick Owens sneakers, coordinating with her friends.

Additionally, North wore nude lipstick and brown lip-liner, plus striking black grillz in her mouth.

The nepo baby was also decked out in heavy silver-toned jewelry including a stack of chokers and chains around her neck.

The TikTok was captioned, ‘fake piercings and fake tatts 4 life.’

Kim and North’s joint TikTok account profile reads, ‘Me and my bestie. Managed by an adult. Jesus loves you!’

North’s latest fashion moment comes after fans called out the former Keeping Up With The Kardashians star for letting her daughter wear a corset over the summer.

Kim said North was confused over the hate. 'She was like, 'I don't get it. It's a Halloween costume. It's all fake,'' Kim recalled. The All's Fair actress also said it was North - not her - who wrote the comment online, 'This is such a non-issue.' North seen in her Halloween costume

Kim addressed the internet fallout while appearing on Alex Cooper’s Call Me Daddy podcast earlier this month.

The mother-of-four said: ‘It’s really hard and it’s really interesting because all the kids are wearing the same things.

‘But then my daughter tries to wear it and then I’m like, “Okay, we’re never wearing that again.” Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.’

She added about her firstborn child, ‘She’s usually a girl that that dresses like a tomboy most of the time and she wanted to try something that her friends were wearing and went to the same place that they went to… and it’s just like, okay, wait, maybe you can’t wear that, you know?’

The billionaire continued: ‘So, as a mom, you’re kind of learning at the same time. But what I do know is my baby’s such a good girl and such a sweet girl.

‘The things that she has experienced, where she might have been outspoken or did something, she learns from that.

‘She does listen to me but in other areas I’m like, “Babe if you want blue hair, it is what it is.” It makes her so happy. I would never take that creativity away from her.’
